Why does someone send a friend request when you have never been in a forum together? What sparks it off?

Are they much of a poster, or more of a lurker? Might be that they like what you say and how you say it. Or, they could be a freakazoid stalkerbeast.

I wonder the same thing. I get random ones that say lame stuff like "be mine" or "you're hot"

I don't recall ever seeing this person in the forums. He has all sorts of links to something he is trying to promote on Myspace. I think he is spamming me or something.
