Have never made it to sturgis..but would like to someday.. been to Daytona bike week and biketoberfest lots of times tho..always had a blast

Would love to, but don't ride a Harley and they don't take kindly to other bikes. None of that buy American b.s. please, it's a free world and I am a Vietnam vet and have earned the right to ride what I damn well please. ......never had any problems. Its a rally. It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride. I see every make and model there. And if they were so anti metric yamaha, suzuki, kawasaki, boss hoss, ducati, and 65 other brands would not be there for display and demo rides. You go to ride. To see. To experience. Go to the vets pancake breakfast sometime. You will never be the same. I'm a vet.

I have family there. I have a lifetime membership at a resort. I love ridin the black hills. Its my playground. Look at my profile pics. The one with my hands in the air is needles highway sturgis rally 2007. I go with 20 people every year. It has a lot of meaning to me. I don't go out there to sit downtown at the freakshow all week. I ride. Buffalo jump, wyoming wednesday and huelett ham n jam and sundance wet t shirt. The governors ride. The displays. Its awesome. The spirit, the history. Sturgis rally is unlike any other. There is a commaraderie like no other. At sturgis I can leave my helmet, jacket, gloves, keys, and wallet on my gastank in a crowd of 100000 bikers and noone will mess with it. Do you know why noone will mess with it? Because all I have to do is yell "STOP! THIEF!" and that guy is a freaking dead man. The bikers will grab the guy and beat the crap out of him. There will not be enough cops to save him. Incentive not to be stupid. Mutual respect. And you see that only at sturgis. Want proof? Last year at daytona 400 motorcycles were stolen. Sturgis? 7. Thieves are afraid to steal at sturgis. And the 2 dumbasses that got caught taking wide glides at sturgis were airlifted out for their safety. I feel safe at sturgis.

And ten years straight I have rode out on my bike. 1214 miles round trip. My trailer stays in the driveway.

Hey, LHB - I checked out your pics. Really great! Thanks for sharin. I have family in Wyoming and spent most of my childhood summers there - so I guess I have an affinity for that area, too (hence, "Montana").
