Sex without marriage is not a sin, however marriage without sex is a sin!

The whole prison system in the US is quite bizarre. Having them privatized and no real national control so the wardens can do whatever the hell they like...
Plus the US has an insane amount of criminals, one of the highest in the world. I think only Brazil has more.
In that sense it'd mean the whole system and society needs a serious overhaul so this entire situation changes, criminality rates and murder rates drop, and I doubt that will happen in the foreseeable future as it's a huge change that is required.
And as long as people keep thinking it's normal it won't change.

As for the murderers... maybe they are out because prisons are full.

As for not voting Trump... I would not have voted for him either if I was an American. He had some good things, but he didn't give a toss about environmental issues which for me is a huge issue. And in general I've never been keen on any republican president.
And I don't like his rather black & white views and ego thinking that he's right. Like with the Central Park five. They were set free, wrongfully imprisoned and abused etc. Finally set free. What is the first thing the a-hole Trump does when president? Try to revert it and get them back in jail???!! WTF!
When these kids were arrested, coerced, abused and whatnot by the police, he had posted a page-size ad to have them killed. WTF?
Such a man shouldn't even have been president. He's ruthless.
In that sense you can say that people who voted for him don't think. Someone that brutal, that linear and self-righteous is not suited to lead a country.

If I'd had to vote last time I would've had a very difficult time as I also don't fancy a man that's way too old to lead a country. In that sense I feel Trump is too old too, but at least he still seems to have his mental faculties in order.

BTW there were people on here that voted Dem and to call these people narrow minded, like teenage girls, basically say they're idiots is not particularly respectful.

Most of the prisons and jails are government run, they were pushing to privatize more prisons because our government has ways of over spending and screwing up everything they do. However some of the private prisons were misusing some of the funds or not following the procedures set by the government. I'm not going to say all wardens play by the book, as in any field there are good employees and bad, but they do have standards to follow and their appointments are made by others.
As far as Democrats vs Republican it is very sad the actual candidates both parties put up, but let's face it being president has a lot of down falls as you can see here and not many are willing to put themselves thru that. If people would get more involved in primaries where the party narrows down a hand full of candidates to find just one to put on the ticket we may get a slightly better candidate. A party would not put more then one candidate on the ticket because the votes would be split up, the same can happen when a strong independent runs, they will never get enough votes, but they take away from one party more then another depending on their views, but for most elections voting for a party besides Democrat or Republican is just throwing your vote away. There can rarely be upsets such as when the wrestler Jesse Venture ran as an independent for our state governor and won, but too many voters are brainwashed in sticking to whatever party they have been brought up with like it's some kinda religion.
People who are charged with murder are often offered bail, and if they bail out they can be required to where ankle monitors, or accidentally murder, more often refered to as manslaughter can sometimes be released on house arrest, but for someone who is actually convicted of murder is rarely let out before serving at least half their sentence.
The United States does have a tremendous amount of crime, but take black people out of that equation and it will seem a little more in line to what other countries have, being a melting pot of nationalities and having guns available leads to a higher crime rate, but also our wealth and people's greed leads to many crimes.
Or system does need a big make over, but to stop charging people, or even stop people commiting crimes will snowball into an even bigger mess in a hurry. My solution would be go back to the scarlet letter days. If somebody is caught stealing cut off some fingers like they do in India, if the steal again cut off their hand or arm. Sexual predators could be castrated, or if you neglect your children or can't afford to feed them you could be sterilized. We could be like when the British Empire shipped all it's convicts to Australia, we just got 100k people from Afghanistan, let's do them a favor and send them 100k criminals in return, or send them to Central America because we got a ton of people coming up from there. We could also open our prisons up like a zoo, people would be allowed to poke the prisoners in their cages and yell at them, treat them like the animals they are instead of giving them all the luxuries of home, things to make people think before they go out and commit crimes.
Climate change is much too long to discuss under this topic, and long story short people will always find a way not to get along.

Daute Wright was pulled over not only for a dangling air freshener, but also expired licence tabs (registration). Things they commonly pull over people of any race for. The reason he was being handcuffed was not for simple traffic violations, but a warrant for failure to appear on a weapons violation. So there was a high probability for there to be weapons as he had a history of having weapons he was not supposed too. During the trial they agreed Kim Potter had the right to shoot Daute but they felt her negligent actions caused the death of Daute. Had she just said she yelled "taser, taser, taser" hoping another officer would taser him so she didn't have to shoot she would have been in the clear. Of coarse the most sensible thing clearly would of been just listen to the demands of the police and clear up his warrant as that was not just going to go away, not to mention the assaulting an officer and fleeing arrest he would have also been charged with, with his disregard to the law we are much better off without him considering the drastic increase of shootings we have seen, not by officers, but by these thugs that have no respect for society.

everything is dependent upon people being basically good people -from there it's a matter of their understanding -which they will attempt to increase because they are basically good.

ideally, we want good cops and good citizens.

same is true for everything -if everyone is against everyone, the world implodes.

getting clearer & clearer.

in the Kim Potter trail, Timothy Gannon, her boss and former Brooklyn Center police chief - resigned.

in fact, instead of Police De-fund, people should hold the chiefs accountable, including demand for their resignations.

He resigned because the system is F'd up and he was getting pressure. Kim Potter had every right to shoot Daunte Wright. A 4200lb car can be just as deadly as any gun, clearly he put it in gear with no regards to anyone's safety. He also could of had a gun in the center console he was reaching for. It did not matter if Potter used a taser or a gun, she needed to do what she had to do to stop Daunte. The publics reaction and Black Lies Matter are the only reason she was tried and convicted. The jury will have their names released to the public, and they feared what would happen if she was set free. They are pushing to sentence her to 20 years in prison, while they have reduced Mohammed Noirs sentence from 12 1/2 years down to just 57 months meaning he will be eligible to be released any day now. Do people remember Mohammed Noir? He was the Minneapolis cop that reached in front of his partner and shot Justine Damon because he got "scared". Not sure if he was "scared" because she was white? Or because he felt threatened because she was a woman. She had nothing that could be considered a weapon, and he refused to say anything to anybody why he shot her until.his trial. It is all just a political game to show they are punishing white officers, and not holding black people accountable for their actions because they clearly know no better. When Damon was shot Minneapolis had a lesbian as the police chief, she was fired and replaced by a black police chief, now he is retiring so we will have to see what forms to there needs for the next check because it clearly has nothing to do with being qualified.

Ahh! Still another MSM graduate! How many times did you vote for biden in the last election?

Oh, British Columbia. My question still stands, how many times did you vote for biden in the last election?

Ahh! Another big lie believer, I feel bad for you but trust me, you will get over the fact that it was a fair election. Not even an insurrection could change it for the liar and (ex) chief.
Biden is making life's easier, I am sure many of the believers enjoyed all the financial help Joe provided and still will provide, even the GOP Senate has nothing better to do than throwing stones. That's what it has come to, so sad.

Not sure what you are talking about Joe providing financial help? Much more stimulus was given out while Trump was in office than when since Joe stepped in. Trump also cut taxes and increased the child tax credit, Trump also did away with the Obama care socialist penalty for not having health care. The cost of all energy sources has gone up under Biden, inflation is the highest it's ever been, how is that making my life easier? Maybe you should just MYOB or quit falling for these allusions that the media is trying to feed the people.

Maybe we should do away with the police? We could use the money to buy every citizen a gun and ten bullets and see where thing go from there? Would it really be any worse than some of these other idiotic ideas they come up with?
Not only are they defunding police, the DA's are not prosecuting crimes, but I'm sure these criminals will only commit one crime in their life time and then move on to some schooling or a career of something productive to society.

BLM ( Black Lies Matter) is not a group, it's a movement, They promote criminal activity and disrespect to authority. The reason the police stop more black people is because they commit more crime, the reason a black man is more likely to die at the hands of a cop is because they are more likely to fight or flee. How many of these thugs would still be alive if they would have simply followed the orders that were given too them? If these people have time to commit crime could they not be using that time to get a job instead?
Assimilation is something that most ethnic groups in America have had to go thru. Most ethnic groups have been looked down upon at least some time thru history. There have been times when the Black communities have done well, but a few bad apples have spoiled the bunch. What does it matter what has happened hundreds of years ago? If it wasn't for slavery and Caucasian people fighting to end it, 90% of the black people in America would not even exist. They need to get over it and assimilate. Don't blame it all on poverty because there are far more white people who live in poverty as people of color.
Support black owned businesses? Is this not a racist idea? If I said I only support white owned businesses I would be called a white supremacist among some other things. I shop at places that offer goods and services that satisfy my needs, I don't track down who owns the company, what their race, political affiliation, religion, or sexual preferences are. The media needs to stop selling the lies of such groups as BLM, BLM should be a movement that pushes to STOP black crime, not to promote those who are commiting these crimes. Dumping money into a problem more often then not just causes even bigger problems and corruption and until people wake up to this fact it will only get worse.

Uranus (pronounced 'yer a nus') rotates on its side.

I grew up with nine planets but Pluto is not a planet because of its size.
Pluto is a Kuiper Belt object (KBO).

If we class Pluto as a planet we must also class similar sized KBOs as planet and this would mean our system has 17 planets and counting.

We weren't talking about Uranus, but thanks for pointing it out to us.🤣
When I was growing up Pluto was Mickey Mouses dog, guess that's all they really taught us back then?

Exactly right! A perfect example is our Vice President she’s is obviously not fit for that position but because she identifies as a black women joe decided that would be his best choice for his running mate. What a horrible mistake that was.

Kamala Harris meets all the requirements of the office. She's US-born and exceeds age and residency requirements. She's accomplishing as much or more than Mike Pence or Dan Quayle. I'm sure she's not Republican enough for you, but that's a feature; not a problem.

This is what happens when America is brainwashed by the Black Lies Matter and Me Too movement. The color of ones skin and/or race has become the number one priority in picking leaders, many people will admit they voted for Obama because he was "Black" knowing nothing else about him, mayors of many major cities are now people of color, color and/or sex is a part in choosing police and fire chiefs, apparently appearance is more important than knowledge and experience in this day and age.

I've never seen a ring that could plug a hole. People don't own other people so to each their own. But I believe most of the time they get a thrill out of the risk involved, it's more exciting for them to do something they are not supposed to be doing, than to be stuck in the same routine. Cheating on a test can get you ahead in life, it can also get you kicked out of school. Cheating on a spouse rarely turns out good in the long run, so people should consider the risk and reward.

God fearing bible thumpers get caught up in cheating too, but usually the karma catches up with everybody at some point.

gone, but not forgotten

Thinking that's more of a gain to us than a loss, the lack of respect of these these thugs, promoting gangs, drugs, mistreatment of women to our youth, creating a culture of laziness, stealing, guns. Why should I ever show any kind of respect to people who are so rude and disrespectful? When people have attitudes like NWA, "F... the police",I says it's karma when they are killing each other and try to blame others for all their problems. So needless to say I will take Pop over Rap any day.

I miss the way the 90's felt.

I miss shopping and going out. I miss the clothing options and the music.

I miss the atmosphere.

so I would like to propose a movement to restore all things FUN from the 90's.

I hate shopping or channel surfing in this millennium.... :confounded: (that is the face of constipation and agony that this world evokes in me--yes, it makes me feel constipated like I've got the 90's stuck up my butt and just can't take anymore of this millennial B.s.)

thank you. that is all.

(p.s. vote for me in the next presidential )

For most people it would take a long time for them to get over losing their cell phones. So when we go back will we still know what we know now? Will we be young again? Or are we going back at the age we are now?

I would like to see things like drive in theaters, drive in restaurants, roller skating and such come back to what they were. I would like to go to a cabin that feels lost in time unlike the updated version of what it is now. To drive a huge car that floats like a boat down the road and doesn't look like every other car on the road. So many things lost in time.

And after 2001 every body had a cell phone so they could watch, track, and listen to everything you do.

@dust the genome composition is different . SARS, MERS and Covid may belong to the genus of Coronaviruses but they are not the same virus .

As for mask wearing .. Europe was among the first countries to relax restrictions on social distancing and mask wearing , however vaccination rates were inadequate and now there is evidence of uncontrolled spread . Until herd immunity is achieved .. vaccination alone (with the current vaccines ) is not enough to control Delta . Mask wearing , hand hygiene and social distancing are still very important means to reduce spread . waving

P.s. Won’t comment on politics .... other than to say it always has been about power .

I said "basically". But SARS is Covid and Covid is SARS, they should have called the 2003 out break of "SARS" something different, it is 80% similar to covid19 so we are still comparing apples to apples, but not all apples taste the same. MERS is 50% similar but also SARS and Covid, but being that was in the Middle East it's something to look into but not as big of concern. Covid, or corona (crown-spikes) virus. 2003 SARS killed about 10% of the 8000 it infected, covid19 is much less deadly percentage wise with less than 1% dieing, but the transmission rate is so high that it's taking out such a large number of people. So 16 years ago they knew how deadly SARS can be, China has most likely done much research on it. Most of the time it's not if, but when it returns. The saying F... me once, F... you, F... me twice, F... me. The world should of had at least a bit of a heads up. Covid19 has already altered itself a few times and currently we have another big scare in southern Africa.

Hygiene can play a big part in many parts of our lives, but too much hygiene has also created problems of its own. A mask my keep spit from flying on to somebody, but if people touch their mask, like many do, the virus could be closer to an intake point. It also gives people a false sense of security in which they take more risks because they think they will be protected. Some countries have imposed travel restrictions on southern Africa already, while others are saying such restrictions are not necessary as this variant will find its way into other populations no matter what is done. It is not yet clear what travel restrictions, quarantines, vaccines, and other restrictions have on the long term affects of outcomes as the virus also seems to make its own cycles.

Even after heard immunity is achieved thru infections and/or vaccines it is very likely covid will still have outbreaks and kill some people just like influenza, or it could keep mutating and transferring to different species til it takes out a large portion of the population. There is also a chance it will just disappear. When was the last time you heard about a case of the bird flu? Swine flu? Mad cow disease? Sometimes nature can do some strange things.
