The good men and women may not always be seen but they are there not far from us. We'll keep passing by them unnoticed if the criteria we want in a spouse is too high! That's true. However, sometimes lowering your standards, the one's that should remain high, can get you a woman/man you really don't want or NEED in your life. I lowered my standards once and got EVERYTHING I NEVER wanted... so, now I'm back to my standards again. I realized mine were keeping me safe. I guess as long as you don't expect a rich man/woman with a perfect body, perfect past, perfect hair, a specific eye color & who likes to do 100% of the things you like, your standards probably aren't unreasonably high. IMHO
