No actual love can’t be faked. True love feelings is impossible to deny. However a person can pretend to love someone in order to gain something. Usually money. You just contradicted yourself. If you pretend to love someone then you're faking it.

I think it depends on the people, I have a few aunts and uncles that I can't stand and never want to see again. I also had a friend once that told me he wouldn't even go to his mothers funeral to piss on her grave. So yeah not all family ties are iron clad.

There are not enough people doing nice things in the world today and so I try to put out as my humble, positive and good energy as possible even when I don't feel like it.

My grandparents had 11 years between them and they got married in the 40's so I see nothing wrong with it. Age is just a number, you're only as old as you want to be. Unless you're braking the law and then shame on you.

If it is actually faked - that is from the very beginning and deliberately, then the answer is fairly obvious - for some kind of benefit. That may be for attention, adulation , material things, sex , comfort, companionship, as a pose or boast, for reassurance, to incite jealousy, for advancement in employment or social position Spoken like a true player, but most woman don't like that and the ones that do only like it if you're rich and or famous.

you'd think I'd know that by now, but I still feel so stupid about dating. Well of course you are, you are allergic to anything with hair, it must be mighty hard to find the baldies ;-) I'm not dating pets. So how should I have worded it?

Thank you all you've been a great help! Really, after a bit, you will be able to spot the insincere, they might as well come wrapped in a stink bomb, they are so obvious. Totally ignore them, they go away. There is NO reason to have to chat elsewhere, that is a huge red flag. And in the meantime you can get everything off your chest in the forums ;-) you'd think I'd know that by now, but I still feel so stupid about dating.
