It depends on which context you're speaking of. The first time I met any FRIENDS from the internet took about 8 months. The first time I met a potential partner took about a year and a half, although we had only been passing friends during that time, and the meeting of each other wasn't even planned, it just turned out that way. I have never thought of sites such as this as simply for "dating", period, dot, end of conversation. There are too many people who are misled to believe that. Sites like these are for social interaction. If a person can't be a friend that you get to know first, how in God's name would they expect them to be a potential date? You can't just look at a picture or a profile and say "Hey, I want to date you!" "Oh, gee, okay." You wouldn't (or SHOULDN'T) do that in the real world, so why would you do it online? Good reply |
