Thank you... it's one of many poems I wrote about my mother's passing away.

Why Go Home
The empty house and corner bedroom where she sewed made crafts and read books while her son played outside all before the cancer and now no one living there remembers her name. |

White and Faultless
God put glass in those windows but dusted the panes so the light is scattered making the day outside seem white and faultless. There is something brilliant trying to etch itself on my mind so I lay back hoping it will resolve itself into something perfect I can write down and interpret as being about love and how there is hope hiding in the fear which passes like a cloud across the window panes and I realize the itch is all about getting to the other side of the fear where once you make it it all begins to look small distant and still moving away. |

For Goodwill
You fill boxes for Goodwill with her clothes that are still in good shape clothes other can use now that she's gone maybe for a job interview or a first date and you almost smile through your tears as you imagine her straightening the collar of a favorite blouse a woman just bought so she'll look nice in church your mother smiling with pride at the end result and you realize why she idolized people like Mother Theresa and others like her who always gave when others needed whose hands fervently pushed the money into resisting hands sometimes too proud to accept it even though it would help and you can only hope as an adult now boxing her things up that you have at least half a heart as good as hers. |

I'm 45, single and never married, no kids... I don't drink, smoke or do drugs... looking for friendship first.

I'm just looking to make friends and see what develops from that... not a perv... would love to meet other writers and artistic/creative types.
