I'd start referring to him as a "friend" and I'd feel free to start dating again. (If we'd been intimate, and dated for a while.)
If it was a new relationship, I'd wait it out and see how things progress. But when they refer to you as "friend" their telling others that they are still available... and that there is nothing intimate between you. At least that's my guess. JMO |

Heck I didn't even get my ears pierced until I was 47. But my nieces have belly button bars and they do look cute. I think if they are well placed and the right jewelry worn, they can be tasteful. And dainty little tats are nice too. But I can't get used to the ones that are huge and especially the ones that cover an entire extremity. But that's just my tastes. I prefer not to date a man with tats, but I can overlook a few if the man is a good one. It's just not my thing. I have no tats. I just believe the human body has enough beauty, we really don't need to permanently adorn it like that.
I've known many an older man and some women who, now that they are older, wish they had not gotten the tats. And they fade in time (at least they used to). My brother is covered with them and always talking about his next one, or an addition to an existing one... but he is forever having them recolored. It's a matter of preference and taste. |
