a 70 yr old man had reached what he thought was the pinnacle of life and wanted to fulfill a life long dream, owning a convertible sports car.
so he went in and bought a little mercede's convertible and took it out on the freeway. he gave it some gas and thought wow, up to 60,then 70, wow this feels great he thought. when he got near 90, he looked in his rearveiw mirror and there was blue lights. damn, he thought of giiving him a run for his money but better judgement prevailed and he pulled over.
the state trooper,looked at the car, knowing it was new, and looked at the old man and said "sir, it time for me to get off, you were speeding and i do not want to do the paperwork, so if you can give one real good excuse why you were speeding, i will let you go with a warning"
the old man said sir " it was about 40 yrs ago, my beloved wife ran off with a state trooper and when i saw your blue lights, i thought damn, he's bringing her back too me."

you will find a lot of people apparently use this to pass the time of a very boring, do nothing life. i have found you respond to a profile and you do not get the courtesy of a go to hell.
i have been looking several at sites for some time and find them all the same. in time you will see the same people on here for yrs.

i truly know what it like to be alone. i have been divorced for over 8 yrs and do not go to bars so i turned to the internet to meet people.i work for the state of fl as a correctional officer, which has good benfits. i do not have a 9 to 5 job or weekends off and this does not help. i live in a rural area and this is a drawback also.
i have found the internet to be disappointing. people tend to be less than honest, i have found. pics posted are old and i mean old, and a lot are glamor shots. not everyone is looking for a 10, but i feel all are looking for honesty. we have all suffered our pain thru divorce or other tragedy. honesty and integrity are all we have left.
i would love to meet a lady who is attractive and active, who likes the outdoors, dining out,yet, likes quiet times. not looking for a princess or cinderealla like it seems most ladies spend time looking for that knight in shining armor. you might as well try kissing frogss. sorry did not mean to ramble, just my feelings.:

i lost a marriage of over 20 yrs, 8 yrs ago, she went into depression after the death of her father and mother. i did not see it, she could not handle it and would not take meds. depression is real. i did not realize it till i went there.
the only depressing thing in my life at the moment are these internet dating sites and ladies looking for thier prince, when all they will do is kiss a frog. their knight in shining armor, well when they get to a certain part of the anatomy they may find a bad rash. damn armor, you sweat a lot, gave mine away. good luck girls, lot of good guys out there. remember you may overlook and orchid while looking for a rose.

say what you will but i have been off and on these sites for about 7 yrs and have found women post old pics and glamor shots and want a man who is a prince or knight in shining armor. not all women mind you but a majority.to me looks help but it is what is inside that counts, a plain loving woman is more valuable than a beauty with no brain and all vanity. nuff said
