And I don't date separate men been there done that lol They usually don't really want to get divorced. :) All in fun, hope you all have been behaving while i've been gone :) My Rant Scammers stop emailing me I'm a widow with NO MONEY lol Hi Carold, glad you got home safely. After seeing a couple of posts from women complaining about the men in here, I just have to share some of what I, and I'm sure others, are getting from the women in here. 1. Please read the profile, often there are clues that will help you along. My profile says 2 things that a woman should see right off the bat. I am looking for women for friendship. If your profile says "Looking for a man for marriage" we probably aren't on the same wavelength. 2. My profile says "separated". Granted, she is 2700 miles away, but this means that technically, there is still a Mrs. Oncegreat. Some days I wish I could change "separated" back to "married", other days I want it to read "divorced", and on a few days, after phone calls or letters from lawyers, "widowed" would be my favorite option. But for now it's "separated". 3. My profile says that I have raised 4 daughters and have 4 grandchildren. I promise you, that doesn't mean that if you have 3 little ones in school that I am looking to help you raise them. Been there, done that, have great pictures to prove it. Thanks anyways. 4. To the woman who said she is married, and feels unappreciated and just wants someone to hold her because her husband won't. Wow,, tempting, but no thanks, I have enough drama now,,, no need to add yours to it. So just a word, please read the profile BEFORE sending an email to someone that has no interest in what you have to offer. Now, if I could just find a nice single trollop or two to hang out with in between golf rounds. I think when we welcomed you we said come on in to the Fifty and over Forum you can make a lot of friends here. The chance of finding a date was kinda sketchy. The ones that have been here for a while have come to that conclusion. I do have to say this is the best site to find good friends. As for not reading, that has become a lost art. They just look at the pictures. You are right HG, I'm not here to find my next love, I'm here for the wonderful people, like you, that have extended their friendship to me. |

Women aren't the only ons who can't read. I clearly state that I am ONLY looking for friendship and e-pals, but after I restate that in an answer to their email...they NEVER write back. Oh well....I have all you guys to chat with...and MUCH better company I am sure! And I don't have to shave or put on pants. |

WTF is windows 7 Bill? It's the new version that Microsoft is working on. They release beta (test) versions early for techs to try out and find the bugs. It won't be released until late this year according to the latest from Microsoft. Vista was an overly ambitious attempt by Microsoft. They had some great ideas added to it, but by the time they shipped it, it had so much crap added that it became a resource hog. Most people don't use a 3rd of what it can do. The new Windows is much sleeker and faster running than Vista, but has a lot of the new features that Vista had. |

what do you think about Linux Bill???? It does some things really well, I have it on one of my desktops that I can dual boot. The problem is that there are too many programs that you can't run on it, so I find that most of the time I am running Windows. Vista sucks, but XP with all the updates has become a pretty good operating system. I've seen the Beta of the new Windows (code named Windows 7 for now) and it runs more like XP than Vista. This is a great step by step website on dual booting. www.apcmag.com/the_definitive_dualbooting_guide_linux_vista_and_xp_stepbystep.htm |

Computers are like women, if you don't talk to them just right, they will make your life a living hell. And so they should!!! Most times it's just easier to go out and get a newer model. |
