I politely and firmly explain why I am not interested. That's how everyone should handle it. It's not a big deal.

Block him then. End of story.

smile2 When people are "too nice" do they lose your respect?smile2

I will only lose respect for a person who is disingenuine in their presentation. If they are naturally submissive and giving in their demeanor, then no, that wont cause me to feel any less of them. Not at all.

A guy who is naturally submissive and giving would probably never work up the nerve to ask you out in the first place.

Am I wrong?

So tell him off. You don't owe him anything. He should have been more subtle if he wanted to weasel his way into your affection.

It's one of the classic stumbling blocks of keeping a woman's attention. Being overly kind and interested equates dependency for some reason.

I learned a long time ago to stop being super nice to women, even if I would really like to sometimes. It gets you nowhere.

there is a big difference between being nice and being desperately so

Just as there is a big difference between being enough of a jerk to keep a woman's interest and a wife-beater.

On a completely unrelated note, do you know much about Tarot? I picked up a Thoth Deck a few months ago and have been reading on the subject pretty intensively.

I think the placement of the fool at 0 makes a lot more sense.

???????

I have half a dozen or so decks. In all my decks, the fool is at 0. That's the normal position in the Major Arcana as far as I know. Because everyone is a 'fool' at the beginning of their journey.

Sorry, I have should have been more specific. Some antique decks leave the fool unnumbered, and other early Belgian interpretations place the fool as "XXII." The oldest fool card you can still find is from the Visconti-Sforza deck, and it has no number to it.

I'll keep in touch via emails. I have a lot of information I could send you on the subject since you are interested.

Hence the pic of Manson on my profile = no unwanted, creepy emails.drinker

Isn't that kind of self-defeating, though? As a guy I wouldn't even consider approaching a profile which had no pictures of the woman it represented whatsoever.

Besides, it is much easier and more satisfying to delete a bunch of crap than to sit around waiting for nothing. Maybe you've already missed on a guy who would be perfect for you.

Oh good, since I'm only here for the forums. And about me missing the perfect guy for me on this site-rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

Hey, if that's how you like it then more power to you.

A64WOODY got that nickname after a legendary coke orgy with the Chippendales.

It's good, but personally I would prefer something a bit more unique than a tribal design. Perhaps add something in the middle to bring it all together?

I can't really say I "regret" it in the sense that perhaps I could just as easily have been a saint in school and a mass murderer now.

Would that be better? Probably not.. the big turning point for me was being exposed to a more intellectual and spiritual group of people in college. The fact that they were not just kind and compassionate because it was convenient made all the difference.

There is always a delicate balance of vulnerability and dependency. When one person or the other tips the balance there is an urge to snap the chain and start fresh.

So.. look before you leap.
