I am gay, but as has been stated by some others, I feel 'Marriage' is a religious term, and most religions are anti-gay, or at least anti-gay marriage. Here in Britain it is legal for a gay couple to enter into a Civil Partnership with his/her partner, and have the same entitlements as any married straight couple. Why then, do some states in the supposedly multicultural United States, not to mention many other countries, have such a problem with gay people loving each other and showing their commitment in the form of a Civil Partnership? I think it is a shame that so many people in this world have nothing better to do than to harass people and call them 'sick' and 'perverted' because they simply wish to love someone and have the same rights as every one else. Because if you think about it, alot of our american system is devoted to religion. I mean our money says, In god we trust, In our pledge of allegiance we say one nation under god, our president is sworn in with his hand on a bible. Not to mention, the amount of population in the United States that is religious is very high compared to those who aren't religious. I support gay marriage btw. Just responding to what you wrote. |

People are people...when you get right down to it, we're all probably pretty ordinary...I would think we'd be seeking out good characteristics and personality traits in one another. Looks fade, so why should they amount to so much? Because people believe that a relationship can be based solely on looks when in fact, it can't be, hence crazy people & high divorce rates
Finding beauty within instead of just outside defines love from lust in my opinion. |

23? You are kidding aren't you? I mean yea maybe not a homeowner with stocks and an IRA but get real at 23 you should be standing on your own two feet. Even if it means shareing and apartment, paying for your own beans, keeping a whoopty vehical legal, paying for your own social life. Yes definitely yes! With the economy the way it is, no one i standing on their own two feet anymore. |
