Is this the room for the really really really extremely ridiculously good looking?
*Zoolander face*

I still need to see that movie. *sigh* 26, and still a daunting, massive bucketlist of movies to watch looms overhead, ruining my peace with threats of failing meet cultural expectations in conversation with my peers. ='( Life is so bitterly difficult.

I received a message last year from a "former" coworker's wife. She sent "The Deceived and Deceiver Are His".

What is that suppose to mean?

Does she claim I'm a deceiver?

Not everyone is a perfect Christian. Most have bumps in the path of their life. Some may get quite off the beaten path before seeing the light. Living is learning.

She sounds like a twat, I wouldn't worry about it.

How can u control those natural urges
to pro-procreate ? when u have strong and longing feelings for another ?

Struggling with law
of chastity !!!

It's easy, choose not to relent to those feelings. Feelings don't force anyone to do anything. Emotions just present another choice. Choose your thoughts. Choose what you will.

as a young Christian woman I question even whether dating in itself is ok (in that I believe more in courting) but these beliefs seem so outdated that I doubt I'll ever find my other half that way. However I want to meet him sometime soon and in modern culture I'm wondering if online is the right way to go or is that kind of saying that I don't trust God to lead the right man across my path in his own way and his own time
Any opinions here? (Or any Spirit-Filled Christian men from Northern Ireland on this? lol)

Oh yeah, Paul's letter to the Romans was all about how evil dating is. Don't do it. EVER. You'll burn in the deepest circles of hell, I can assure you.

psalm 144:3"Lord what's a man, that you take knowlegde of him? Or a the son of man, that you are mindful of him?".If truely God really cares and loves man so much, then why are there so many insurmountable predicaments trailing the path of a man?

Choice.

Homosexuality is easily one of the most prolific contagions. Because of its ability, as a virus, to spread through both air and water no country or culture has been able to successfully defend against it for a prolonged period of time.

Buy a mask my friend, and purify your own water. It's your only defense against the homapocalypse.

Some of us certainly don't get enough to eat, that's for sure.

That isnt the point for young people staying far away from God. The little we ate is enough.

Believe me, when people are starving there's little reason for them to worry about anything besides survival, much less a deity they don't know and could care less about under their circumstances.

That may not be an issue in this country, but elsewhere a lack of food and a lack of necessities are more pressing problems for people than a belief in God. Justifiably so.

Mark_the_Man, just want to say 'thank you'
for adding to this very important topic. flowerforyou

The feeding I was refering to was pertaining to the milk and meat of the Gospel. drinker

I'm aware. My point is not irrelevant, however. As no amount of spiritual feeding will be very useful to those who can't feed themselves. If the body that houses the soul and is used by the soul to disseminate and receive truth is impaired, it follows the the word of God will not reach through as effectively, or perhaps with any effect like it would for a person without the failings that result from hunger and poverty.

This pattern is certainly applicable in modern America as well in a different context. The body of a soul impaired by neglect from parents, abuse, or perhaps bad circumstances can be more badly crippled in this sense than even those going without food who don't experience the first issues raised in this sentence.

I believe these are the largest issues preventing the young from pursuing a sound understanding.

I think then, that these matters which broadly affect the young we're speaking of here, ought to be resolved first in preparation for the significant second step of helping the young grow in more important ways.

It's difficult to appreciate scriptures when your stomach is empty, or worse, your life.

Toks88,

If you "see" that, then you are either delusional or you have a wild imagination.

rofl

I'm not delusional or whatever you could think. Anyway, I'll SEE that when its time.

What if it's never time O.O

Or what if it's already always been the time? The best, most persuasive teachers of their religion or belief live by example and attract the questions and attention of those who sometimes convert to their way of living. I think it's safe to say that Jeannie is already living in such a way that she attracts that attention. Perhaps she has thus been engaged in the act of evangelism this whole time! xD

I've deprived myself of sex my whole life, so I guess I shouldn't be commenting.

Come to think of it, are there any good old fashioned monasteries lying around? I know they're out of style in this day and age but there's got to be one around here somewhere. xD

..I'm new here!!! I hope I can find the real ONE..anyone? NO scammer please. Thanks.!!!

There's no such thing as the one. There are some people who have an easier time falling in love than others, and that's about it.

So you don't believe as a christian that God hand picks someone for you or places someone in your life?

Nope, I've read the scriptures. There's nothing in there that indicates God makes soulmates for all of us.

That said, there's nothing saying He doesn't guide some people together. =)

If you want to know Him maybe you should ask Him.

him?

Reasoning from the premise of one's own existence is called "anthropic" reasoning.

My journey has been in an inward direction and although not completely scientific, it involves my own personal logic.

I did ask and I got my answer.

When 'I am' and 'God is' become in your mind indistinguishable, then something will happen and you will know without a trace of doubt that God is because you are, you are because God is. The two are one.

Until He speaks to you anyway. But you know, to each their own.

"I AM" speaks to everyone.

Should they choose to hear, no doubt.
