I want to have a relationship within my own generation for cripes sake. It's like everything I do goes to hell in a handbag.

This topic has been on my mind for a very long time. I would consider myself a person in that age group as eccentric, and out of the wheel rut. I never cared for current trends or social media, because I felt it was a waste of time. Unfortunately in recent years, I keep hearing about social collapse and mental illness in this generation. When I hear facts about young, able bodies boys and men staying home and dragging the economy down, I begin to get depressed. When I hear about cyber bullying and education rates disappearing in America, I get nervous. When I'm introduced to slang and weird spiritually forums dedicated to them, I begin to doubt. I guess the point of this thing is that I have no idea in hades how I can go about dating -- especially in a world like this. I'm getting pretty tired of living in an electronic box, plauged with misanthropic reddit posts and egregious news playing every day. I'm getting tired of seeing pretty ladies who only care about YouTube views or people that bash politics like their lives depend on it.

I'm getting tired of trends like quit quitting or forced isolation (hikikomori).

No, I want to find common sense individuals, who rely less on technology and can actually connect on a human level. Kind of sucks that I was born in a century where I can't even trust what I'm eating, let alone find a date.

Apparently being a man is considered the worst thing, and that I mustn't say anything out of fear that I might be labeled as a pervert.

For the love of God, is there any sane gen z people out there? Or will I live the rest of my life in a bubble, confined to a remote job and fleeting fantasy's before a nuclear Holocaust happens...

Honestly at this point, I'm going to pick a poison, but I don't want it to ruin me. At some point, I will just happen to experiment again.

Despise C. I'm a python junkie and also use JavaScript -- because I tend to design or use web applications (I need something to work, and work quicker). Since I usually work in Linux, I don't need to use C often.

As a prerequisite, I would advise to learn java. Its the best foray into more firmware level languages, then go into C++.

This is my two cents, because I'm only 22, and nobody really listens to gen z.
