C++ is a lot of Java. try taking on C or VHDL. both closer to the hardware layers, making it a lot harder to work with.

have you also tried python?

Email me one C++ source code whose executable crashes, with a brief description of what it is supposed to do.

Despise C. I'm a python junkie and also use JavaScript -- because I tend to design or use web applications (I need something to work, and work quicker). Since I usually work in Linux, I don't need to use C often.

As a prerequisite, I would advise to learn java. Its the best foray into more firmware level languages, then go into C++.

This is my two cents, because I'm only 22, and nobody really listens to gen z.
