wow, I'm amazed at all the parallels. I was only aware of some. Here's a site that lists them out side by side if anyone is interested. http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_jcpa5.htm I'd suggest rather than parallels, the simpler explanation is one story occurred first (Horus), and the people during latter time (Jesus) thought is was a nice story. We remake/reinterpret stories, e.g. movies, all the time these days :) |

Is anyone spending December 25th this year to celebrate the virgin birth of Horus, the ancient (i.e. older than Christianity) Egyptian god that was born from the immaculate conception from the mother Isis? Horus was baptized by Anub the Baptizer and was later crucified. It's a fun tale.
