Assuming she wants to be "kept", that will depend solely on whether or not you can accept being with someone who does not and may never love you as you wish to be loved. I think resentments could easily grow from this situation though. If you don't fully accept that she does not love you and choose to stay with her, you may resent that she does not love you. If you do fully accept that she does not love you and stay, you may feel content for a while but eventually resent both her and yourself for giving up opportunities for the kind of love you really wanted. That's what I've seen happen in similar situations anyway. Good luck friend. |

Hello, Everyone!!! Yes, it's normal to "pretend" to a degree. Laughing at his jokes when he's not funny. Telling her she looks nice even though her outfit is not what you would have liked to see her in. It's normal... it's continueing to date under the pretences that make for a fake relationship. |

Kind of telling lies 2 impress or win the persn's heart do you really think lying to your date is a good thing? IMO, lying is never good in any situation...what if someone starts lying to their date, then finds out they are the "one"... not a great start, huh... |

Kind of telling lies 2 impress or win the persn's heart It's not normal to lie to impress, but from personal experience I can tell you it happens ....A LOT and is usually a set up to fail..."Pretending" as in putting your best foot forward in an effort to make a good first impression because you are attracted enough to want to continue getting to know someone is, in my opinion and based on personal experience, pretty normal during a first date... |

'normal' as in common? dunno. I gotta think it happens some. I was about to go out with someone, then caught him in a lie. It was about his age and only a couple years, but it meant, to me, that he was dishonest. I wouldnt have cared that he was his true age. I did care however that he was not trustworthy. How could I possibly continue with someone I dont trust? |

Lying will only be seen as intentionally deceitful when the person you lied to finds out. It's a bad idea. Even if it's just little lies, you will be more likely to lie about other topics that won't be as miniscule. Then it will come back to bite you as a lot of lies do. Just ask Obama and his administration. They know all about lies and their downsides. Be truthful and you will be respected for it even if it's not what someone else wants to hear. |

Kind of telling lies 2 impress or win the persn's heart How have you won her heart by making her fall for a figment of your imagination? She is now in love with the invisible man. It seems to me you've just invented your own competition. |
