I writer should be able to go to France, no? Mosta them speak English anyhoo. Your recent success has afforded you the luxury of a plane ticket I imagine. Just dont like travel? Just don't have the time to go off on a wild goose chase across the ocean, only to find the French version of "I'm laid back and easy going" instead of the English. Ye of low expectations. Well, I'm kind of at the point where the odds against me finding anyone even remotely compatible/interesting are SO slim that I don't think geography really plays into it at all....! I mean, there are 6.9 billion people in the world, and I've only met one who was even close....! But since you only look on this continent, you limit yourself and reduce the odds, do you not? What if a French gem is waitin and not nearly as fickel as the North American version? |

Well, somehow I apparently have become a member of a dating site I never heard of and know nothing about. Every day, they send me pictures of three girls, and they add "They seem to be perfect matches for you!" along with numbers like 97% and 92% and 95%. To me, "perfect" should be 100% but I'm no math expert and I'm not sure these scores are official, anyway. The problem is, all of these girls are from France. I don't even speak French, aside from the names of some hockey players. (I can say "Mario Lemieux" as good as the next guy.) Aren't we still at war with France? I'm not really up on that stuff. And I don't remember ever filling out anything that said "I am looking for a girl who is ridiculously far away and who I couldn't talk to, regardless." Admittedly, that's what I run into on pretty much every site, but I never ASKED for that. Another site likes to send me e-mail saying 32 people looked at my profile and sent me messages I can't read unless I pay $74.99 a month for 37 months. They do include pictures of everyone who allegedly looked at my profile, though, and they're more or less evenly divided between obvious scammer/spammers and frighteningly scary locals who I would run and hide from if I ever saw them in real life. One woman in particular, who is the size and shape of Alaska, has been relentlessly sending me messages on that site for ages. There appears to be no way to block mail there, either. Not that it matters since I can't read them anyway, but it's just the idea of these incessant notifications. Don't people have anything better to do? I know I don't, but everyone else should. |

I just made and ate Lamb Kabobs! I now have a pile of empty skewers! They were that good! Now who says you have to have turkey or ham on this day? Next year I am serving my landlord with Fava beans and Chianti! I hope this means a reduction in rent! (Man if you think I am serious YOU are the one who needs a checkup from the neck up!) So do you bow to convention or do you flatuate in its face? I pee into the wind of convention! |

Im home alone on thanksgiving with no fricken food. My poor daughter went to E.R. yesterday and turns out she has pneumonia. She was not breathing well and can barely talk. Being that we ahd left for vacation the dr. advised we come back to the city with warmer temps, since cold air makes it much worse. Plus no fireplace cuz the smoke too. In other words, we had to leave our thanksgiving dinner behind and drive all the way home. Guess i will head to store and get some stouffers mac n cheese and whip up some green been casserole for the two of us. She is on steroids now and antibiotics, still sounds like crap though. Hope she gets well soon, missing thanksgiving dinner and family is nothing to me if my baby girl can get better. Laying on the couch with her now. Yikes! Hope everything turns out ok for you! |

Haha your reply was by far the best! XD Fact #1 about me: I want to get into Dr. Who, but I don't know if I should get into the older version or the newer version first... Suggestions? If you like old style sci fi shows then definitely watch the original first. New series isn't bad though. Do you watch Fringe at all? |

I was in a typhoon in Korea, it was like walking through a wall of water! Coming back from there our plane was hit by lightning on approach to the airport - fun times waiting for it to be checked out after being awake for 36 hours!

It may also be worth noting that a 32bit OS such as Win7 only supports upto 4GB RAM and depending on which Win7 64bit version, you can reach 32GB RAM. Just a thought :o) Why in God's name would you need 32GB of RAM? 32bit-Casual user. 64bit-Business. 32bit Windows is sufficient enough to do pretty much anything, when you start getting into programming or something like that you want 64bit pretty much for the memory overhead...even then though, there is absolutely no reason to stuff 32GB of RAM into your PC. After 8GB of RAM it becomes redundant, just about every program isn't going to touch more than 8GB's...regardless. Most programs don't use more than 4, always makes me giggle when people stuff their machine with more than 8GB's of RAM. Useless really. To quote "The most important difference between a RAM disk and a hard disk is access speed. The time taken for a hard disk to move its magnetic heads over the spinning disks (much like the arm moving over old vinyl record player) is typically measured in milliseconds (thousandths of a second). Whereas a RAM disk does not have mechanical parts and its access speed is typically measured in nanoseconds (billionths of a second). Access to a RAM disk may be 50 times faster or more than to a hard drive." |
