Hey there,
I'm also mixed race. My mother is italian & my father is native american & african american. I've come to find that when you're mixed race others are very fixated on physical appearance. Genetic make up is less concerning. For example, Halle Berry is mixed race and even though we know her to be mixed race we identify her as black. It's all about perspective.. People will identify you as whatever you appear to be.. and not to be harsh but, more often than not, non-blacks will consider you black if you have an african american parent. Again, it's all about perspective. I actually think people that fit into a racial box based on physical appearance have it a little easier.. I.E Johnny Depp is said to have some african american ancestors but, clearly, we easily identify himself as european. Physically, I truly don't fit into any racial box. I don't appear black, white or hispanic so people are often very confused on where to place me just based on physical appearance. I identify as mixed-race but, culturally was raised in an african-american community and feel more comfortable identifying as african-american. I would never identify myself as caucasian although I was raised by a caucasian mother. |

Homosexuality is wrong for two reasons. 1) It is unatural. There can never be anything right about one man commiting sodomy with another. The laws of nature cannot be ruled upon. 2) The consequences of such unions have resulted in the AIDS plague. 3) It's a freakshow and to want to bring children into that is seeking to corrupt minors. Having said that, based on facts not hate, based on a respect for what is safe and true, not based on penis pursuit, I would still feed them if they were hungry, clothed them if they were naked and saved them if they were drowning, as is my moral obligation to my fellow man. The only thing I cannot do is save them from hell. 1) heterosexual couples participate in sodomy. also, you seem to be focused on men? are you more lenient with homosexual women? 2) STD's in general are more common now because of modern societies over sexualized youth and our lack of monogamy and morals. 3) i'm confused on this one. how are children and gay marriage matters related? do you know that there are transgendered children and young teens that identify as homosexual? and regardless of legality issues surrounding homosexual marriage, children are exposed to reality. there are far more dangerous things that children could potentially be exposed to, for me.. who someone wants to spend their life with should not be a main concern to a child or parent/guardian of that child. that being said, i do not think that gay marriage should be a religious experience.. i.e should not be done in a church or by anyone from any religious association. i do however think that homosexual couples should have the same rights that heterosexual couples have, from a legal standpoint. |

Ah, I see what you're saying. Maybe our other relationships are based on chemistry as well but, we're just less aware of it.. Although, I'd hope one would be less concerned with someones outward appearance in terms of friendships and other misc. relationships.
Very good read, though.. |

That's an interesting concept.. But, I think " chemistry " (physical & otherwise) is a factor in falling in love for a reason.. Or else, we'd connect with too many people.

The challenge with the word is that if you ask 1,000 people what love means you will get 1,000 different answers. Does love exist ... sure I agree. Love will always exist. Finding someone who has the same definition of it as you, is the hard part. |

Are you afraid to die?

Just scared of the moments leading up to death.. I wonder if i'll be aware that I'm dying? Not too concerned about the after-life.
It is weird thinking about the world going on after you die and you not being able to experience it. |
