So are you saying athiest beleif isnt american? cause america is land of the free. thats america is about its about being able to have your own choice.  Here here. Not everyone in this country are "good christians". I'll be an athiest until i die. *shrugs* if i'm going to your version of "hell" for it then so be it.  ANYWAY Already started religious battle. My bad. *Goes to make dinner*
I don't even look at it in a Christian sense....therein lies the problem.....everyone wants to look at the religious aspect, when , to me, it is what it started out as...and it is time withthe family and with friends... |

I've been having panic attacks and nausea, hyperventilating, and heart beating fast all day, almost ready to pass out, from the PTSD symptoms in me brought about yet again by so called "edgey" guys. Is the edge worth it? Not when it is psychological or emotional, no. It has taken me a long time to learn that lesson and I hope it sticks. all bs from me aside....you need to meet an edgy guy like me.....then your fears would be eased....cause I like to hug....

America is made up of many different cultures and beliefs not just christians. true.....but it is still AMERICA.....as the "holidays" should be.... People of other cultures can practice their own beliefs with out interfering with American Tradition.... A huge part of these people you refer to are american too. So what the hell tradition are you referring to? So to break it to you.....Christmas was here BEFORE any other "american" holidays...as you will call them.... Look....simple, point blank....I respect what each culture believes, and wiil even go so far as to say I am interested in learning about their beliefs, if for no other reason, just so I know in detail the origin, and reason for the practice... But the oldest tradition in this country should be the one that stands, in the matter of CHRISTMAS... |

Um since when is Christmas the only american holiday celebrated this time of year? As far as I can remember there is also our fellow Jewish people that celebrate hanukkah and people that celebrate other things. It's not about political correctness, its about respect. Get over it. I respect them......not changing the AMERICAN WAY for them to feel more comfortable......I am well aware that they have their beliefs.....it is not an AMERICAN TRADITION....hanukkah....it is Jewish.....If I am at a Jewish persons house....I respect what they believe....as long as they do the same for me... |

I say Happy Holidays because I don't celebrate Christmas. This time of year is a celebration of the Winter Solstice for many different cultures, and it's been around a helluva lot longer than Christmas. I don't blanch if someone says Merry Christmas to me and if someone I know is a Christian, I'll say Merry Christmas to them. If they're Jewish, Happy Hannuka. It's called respect and tolerance and that is one of the things this country was allegedly founded on. My people have had no choice but to tolerate the traditions brought to this country over the last few centuries and people here should remember that our land is a melting pot of cultures, religions, traditions, and races. Even though I have every reason to despise Christianity and it's "holidays" I try to respect it as well as other religions, and be tolerant and accepting of their beliefs, rituals, celebrations, and holidays. I expect the same from them and even if they can't be respecful and tolerant of my beliefs, traditions, religion, culture, and race... that doesn't mean that I can't respect and tolerate theirs. Hence the reason I said this is America.....with American Traditions.....more American Tradition believers then not........so, IN America....it should be AMERICAN......in Japan.....I respect their ways....China...respect their ways.....IF I were in their country.....but this is America.....so America should be respected as such. |

I look at it as a time of family and friends.....another excuse to get drunk , but that is a side issue at this point in time...lol You get drunk on the Holy night?

yeah....whatever.......for the most part, I respect other people boundries.......and their beliefs..... But I think it is BULLS*IT, when stores feel the need to cater to UNAMERICAN WAYS IN AMERICA.... Screw the "happy holidays" crap.... It was founded as CHRISTMAS....not HOLIDAY. other cultures may believe in something other then CHRISTMAS....but IN AMERICA WE HAVE CHRISTMAS... if you live in America....you should respect the culture of OUR ways....as americans should do in other countries.... With that being said....

As long as it doesn't make you paranoid. It does do that to some people. I am somewhat paranoid without it......in my crowd, we talk alot about government conspiracy....such as 9/11......I have a movie explaining how it was literally impossible for those towers to fall the way they did.....they said the high heat was the cause....at 2000 degrees....if I am not mistaken, I believe steel has a melting point of around 3000.....even so, the whole building would not have fell......it shows different camera views of several small explosions as the building fell....and it shows other bulidings that have burned for up to 24 hours and still the most that fell was the part that was burning...... So, yes most of my paranoia is justified.... |

I have learned the hard way that edgey guys usually have other "fatal" relationship flaws that show up along the way. They don't make good relationship, marriage, or family material. I beg to differ.....I have been told that I am sweet, loving and lovable, by many people.....other than the voices, I have no issues that will show up later.....I will tell my issues before marriage even becomes an issue of thought....and I expect a woman I am with to do the same....When I decide to "love" someone, it is a deep love.....however, that love, no matter how deep, can and will be eliminated if I sense games are being played....life is to short to waste time on things of untruth..... Thats not edgy...thats psycho. joking about the voices...LOL the elimination is of the feelings, not the person... |
