in a land of poverty, at least the population is accustomed to the conditions. I work in retail and hope I NEVER have to guard my food against the aggressive, thoughtless, rude consumers I watch every day.

Jack I take that to mean, a domestic abuser is not a maniac and violence on the ground is different than violence in the air?

Would you want a pilot who was arrested for domestic violence involving a gun to fly the plane you are on? Would you be comfortable if he could carry a fire arm on board?
