The thing people seem to not understand, is that "happiness is a state of being". It is not something that you go get, nor is it something that can be given.

It's a state of being, you either are happy or you are not. You can choose to look at the negative in life or the positive. In the end it is your choice on whether to be happy or not.
If you are not happy and cannot be happy on your own, then how can you possibly expect someone to make you happy?
How can you expect from someone else, what you can't even do for yourself?

So to answer your question, you can support, love, care for, empathize with another person but you do not have control over their thoughts or feelings. In turn, can never "make someone else happy"

Don't loose faith. Yes, I believe in miracles and the Lord does answer prayer. Ive seen enough miracles to say without a doubt that there is a God.
He does have perfect timing for everything.
