a dachsund named "lady". she was a great dog, sweet, funny, playful. no other dog has come close, which is probably why i like cats better now. of all the cats we had, "fat cat" ruled... awwww I too have a soft spot for the kitties meowwwwwww fat cat was great. he wandered into our basement when i was 8. lady went after him, he took a chunk out of her nose, and they were best friends for 4 years before he passed. he was already old when he adopted us, but looked like he could pull a house off it's foundation. |

anyone here who has had a child, especially one that is the opposite gender of you, will appreciate the following:
i walked into the men's room at the local library to answer the call of nature. while i was relieving myself of some excess liquid, a man had his two young children taking a restroom break in the stall. the little girl (about 2 or so) asked, "why are we in the boy's bathroom? was i a boy when i was a baby?" it was hard not to laugh to loudly... |

the dashboard thermometer says tweleve below i wish for the summer sun at 3am as my daily journey begins stiff, the air is beyond crisp like it will soon shatter yet the skies are clear, the moon out and the dusting of new snow shines like diamonds in my headlights so i'll drive on and wait for the fan to blow warm air for my coffee to kick in and for spring to slowly make it's way back to ohio |
