Hey Minglers. I've been here a few weeks now and thought I'd bite the bullet and jump in with a topic of my own. This is a personal issue for me, as I have quite a large hand tattoo (among others) of a lily, with vines, twining around my wrist to link with a pink ribbon underneath my thumb. When people spot the hand part they frown, yet when they see the ribbon their attitude changes. My question is, are tattoos acceptable on a woman if they are serious statements or shouldn't we all be allowed the freedom of expression no matter what the reason? This also applies to males with tattoos. Wouldn't want to appear discrimitory laugh I would appreciate your views

Let me sing a song of love for you
a sirens song so fine
Let me haunt you with my sweet caress
and a pure love so refine
Let my soul whisper to yours a love
forever giving of mine
Let your lips receive my wanton kiss
with a passion so divine
Let our bodies soar as one and glorious
rapture will be thine

She stood on the cliff overlooking the shore
Her heart breaking for a love that was no more

Violent waves crashing against the rocks below
as unwanted tides of loneliness begin to flow

Raising her head to the lone moon in despair
thoughts without him are to much to bare

The wind billowing in her hair in the darkness of the night
whispers to her, take flight, take flight

Out the mist she turns and walks away
determined yet to face another day

Of the new dawns air she starts to breathe
sadness and sorrow begin to leave

Glorious sunrise coming from the east
a buoyant spirit has a risen she now feels at peace

Walking through fresh meadows, blooms a new start
with a lightness of being now filling her heart

Gone is the darkness that she had begun to roam
daybreak is here and she now has arrived home

Brother is my new name for you
lover is a name no longer true

Tomorrow is a time love will not unfold
sorrow is the future to behold

Lonely is the place that I now stand
only cries of lost love fill the land

Our shared thoughts of topics wide
carelessly now are cast aside

Mourn my body the absence of you
born of times that were just to few

Heart of love is no longer there
starts a sadness that's hard to bare

Times together will cease to be
crimes of love have set me free

No longer shall we call ourselves friends
for this is where loves journey ends
