Thomas allways wanted physical proff or he wouldnt believe.

JOHN 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace, be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Do you believe Jesus Christ died for you. If so ask Jesus for salvation.

ROMANS 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Jesus is my savior and I want to tell the world about him. if you don’t know Jesus Christ as savior I would like to tell you about him. He died and was raised three days later for you and all you
have to do is have faith that he died for your sin and ask him for forgiveness.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

HEBREWS 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him ;

JAMES 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

REVELATION 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Do you go to church? Church is were you praise the lord and have fellowship. It is also a place were you can stay strong in your faith by being with others likeminded as you. Anyone who is saved should want everyone to know about Salvation.

That great gift Jesus Christ gives to anyone who asks. The most important thing we can do for ourselves. Salvation is being in communion with God. I’m glad I have it now. Everyone needs communion with God.

There’s a lot more to this life than being born and growing old and dying. It does sometime take serious consequences to bring us to Him. I hope everyone would here of and receive his Great Salvation without going through hard times. Jesus Christ came down to earth as a sacrifice for our sins.

HEBREWS 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Is it a commandment to go to church? Not that I have seen but if you don’t go to church you will have a hard time growing in Christ. You will probably stay on the milk of the word and not get to the meat of it.

1CORINTHIANS 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

HEBREWS 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

So were do you start? Ask for salvation. It’s as easy as having faith that He died on the cross and was buried and rose three days later to save you from your sin. Then find a good Christian church that serves God and join.

EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation! “God I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve, so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With your help, I place my trust in you for salvation, and I ask that you will forgive me of my sins. I thank you for your wonderful grace and forgiveness.

All Christians if they are following Christ have that "want to" to tell others of Christ’s Salvation. Christ does save souls and I will put a few short verses for you. I would encourage the reading of the whole Bible.

MATTHEW 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

MARK 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

LUKE 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

ACTS 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I've read it. It didn't change a thing for me.

I’m sorry to here that take a second look.

EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

None of those are contradictions. The English language translation is what is at fault not the word of Yahweh and any serious student knows these things... Blessings...Miles

There are TONS of contradictions and errors in the bible. There have been so many posted on this forum alone, I cant even count. noway

drinker I shouldn't be, but I'm still amazed at the lengths people will go to explain away the contradictions, errors and historical inaccuracies found in the bible.

There are no contradictions. You are right people shouldn’t have to go to length trying to explain away contradictions.

JAMES 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

I don't understand why anyone would want eternal life?

Have you read the holy bible.

JOHN 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

it would be nice for a change if you answered.

And I mean in your own words, not with a copy and paste jobgrumble

And without the same silly question over and over again.

You are not a born missionary, you wouldn't convert anyone, the way you are trying.

Salvation is the most important thing anyone can do for themselves. The reason I put verses there is I want people to know exactly were I am coming from and you can check it out for yourself. There is not enough room to post whole bible stories.

Anyone who is saved should want everyone to know about salvation. You don’t need to be a missionary for that.

Are you saved Jesus want to save you?

1JOHN 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

No, not at all.

Paul says "the head of the woman is the man," meaning that the women are to be subordinate to men.

1 Corinthians 11

11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Thank you (feralcatlady)

I could not have put that better. That’s why I suggested I put you in contact with a woman.

How do we know you have read the bible? I asked you about some of those misogynist passages and you acted confused and said you "would need to place me in contact with a female Christian." huh

I was not confused, I saw that you was reaching out for help and i thought a woman would be of more help. Ask again i will try to help you.

EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

I wasn’t asking you for "help" I rattled off a few passages from the bible that were directed at women and quite hateful and you insisted that you weren’t sure about that but that you could "put me in touch with a female Christian."

My question is how can we know that you have read the bible at all when you didnt recognize those passages?

If you want answers to something just ask I read the bible what do want to know. You took the verses out of context. People in the bible did some evil things, God didn’t. You have to be saved to understand the full meaning of it until then all you will understand for sure is that Jesus Christ died to save you from your sin.

MATTHEW 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

MARK 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

LUKE 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

JOHN 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sin?

Yes what is your view of the man of sin?

He is called the Lawless one.

What is Lawless? Blessings...Miles

There is the law and there is Gods law. The lawless one is not obeying God’s law.

1TIMOTHY 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Thier are a lot of thought about what that law is.

What do you see this law as being as he also comes as a angel of light and his ministers are also transformered in to ministers of light.

God’s law is the Ten Commandments and more when Jesus came to earth he told us to love God with all our heart and to love our neighbor like we love ourselves.

DEUTERONOMY 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

MATTHEW 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two
commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

We need to beware because the devil himself is transformed into an angel of light and his followers.

2CORINTHIANS 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

For all I know you could be Satan, how's that?

How would you check that out?

Leah conceives and bears four sons. And it's a good thing, too, since her husband hated her until then for not giving him any sons. 29:32-34

"Then Jacob ... set his ... wives upon camels." Jacob had four wives (or two wives and two concubines -- this distinction is not clear in the Bible): Rachel, Leah, Billah, and Zilpah. There is no indication that God disapproves of this arrangement. 31:17

Laban, Rachel's father, is hunting for the "images" that Rachel had stolen from him. Rachel sits on the "images" and says to her father, "Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee: for the custom of women is upon me." She knows that no man will come near her when she is menstruating. 31:34-35

Thats before it becomes really violent. Shall I keep going? Catholic doesnt make any differance, its all the bible.

Jeremiah insults people by calling them "harlots" who have sex on every hill and under every tree.

Jeremiah 2

2:20 For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

God compares Jerusalem's sinful ways to a promiscuous woman, or a wild donkey in heat.

2:24 A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

Just some more misogynist comments being thrown around with impunity.

Jesus was intimate with Mary Magdalene more than likely. This is taken from the "Gospel of Philip."

As for the Wisdom who is called "the barren," she is the mother of the angels. And the companion of the [...] Mary Magdalene. [...] loved her more than all the disciples, and used to kiss her often on her mouth. The rest of the disciples [...]. They said to him "Why do you love her more than all of us?" The Savior answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you like her? When a blind man and one who sees are both together in darkness, they are no different from one another. When the light comes, then he who sees will see the light, and he who is blind will remain in darkness."

Have you? huh

What is your question I don’t see one.

There is not a "Gospel of Philip." In the Bible. Jesus was not intimate with Mary Magdalene. If you have question's post them.

MATTHEW 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Why do we avoid Jesus Christ When he died for our sin? All we need to do is serve the lord and do his word.

DEUTERONOMY 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

JOSHUA 23:11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

NEHEMIAH 1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

MATTHEW 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

MARK 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

LUKE 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I will end with this please read the holy bible and study it. All I can put here are a few verses.

Please don’t deny Christ.

That's be pretty hard to do since you've never posted a single solitary word spoken by Jesus.

All you keep posting are the words of some guys named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. In fact, many scholars believe that these are just various forms of a single rumor with much demagogury added.

It would be impossible to deny Jesus until you can come up with something that was actually written by the man.

The bible is the word of God. I will post some of words that Jesus Christ spoke specifically.

Salvation from sin is what i want for everyone.

MATTHEW 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

MARK 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

LUKE 5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician: but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

JOHN 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

ddrgkd, that was a tongue-in-cheek post I made. Have YOU read the bible? There is no book titled Hezekiah in the bible. Hezekiah was a king mentioned (I think) in Kings, Chronicles & Isaiah.

Good for you that you have a strong faith and are happy with where you're at, but Christianity is NOT for everyone. No matter how many times you ask someone to read the bible, or ask them if they're saved, you're not going to change their mind. There are those of us here who have read the bible front to back and we're still not going to agree with you. If you want to argue using scripture verses, I'll be happy to list verses that directly contradict each other.
I was raised in a christian household. I was taught that Jesus was the only way into Heaven. Whenever I had a question about something contradictory in the bible, the question went unanswered. The only time I truly felt Saved was when I took the christian blindfold off and left the church altogether.

ddrgkd is a perfect example of how brainwashing works.

Notice that all he ever posts are the brainwashing verses of the Bible that are repeated by the biblical authors ad nausea.

It's clear that the culture that wrote the Bible was desperate to brainwash people into believing that they need to be 'saved' and that only their religion can provide that service.

He can't debate the book in general because he has no clue what the stories are actually about.

I believe that you are right to ask him if he ever actually read the Bible himself because based on his posts it's pretty obvious that he hasn't. He just roots through the book quoting the demagogurey and never gives any reasons or explanations as to why any of it makes any sense.

The idea that Jesus was the son of the God of Abraham is ludicous and that becomes crystal clear from actually reading the Bible!

It is a fact that the vast majority of Christians have no clue what the Bible actually says.

In fact, historically speaking, the men who have studied the Bible the most have rejected the religion altogether.

Of course there are those who made religion their careers, but even if we look at the professional clergy we see that they all disagree on what the Mediterranean myth is all about.

Some of them are Jews, some are Muslims, some are Catholics, and the most obnoxious of all have protested to become protestants of a myriad of sects that all disagree with each other.

It's strikingly obvious that men who actually read the Bible either denounce it altogether or become fiercly divided about what it actually says.

We need to keep in mind also that the the Bible, the Torah, and the Koran are all the same myth twisted in different ways.

Obviously if the New Testament is correct then God turned his back on two cultures that wanted to worship him - the Jews and the Muslins.

It would be ludicious to claim that the Jews and Muslims turned against God because they both believe that they are worshiping him!

This alone should be proof positive that all four of these major religions, Judaism, Catholicism, Islam, and Protestantism are all obviously wrong.

It makes no sense to believe in a God that purposefully divides people via confusion.

These religions are clearly ungodly, not a one of them can be true because utimately they are all the same train-wrecked religion.

Just look at Christianity!

It started out with as supposedly unchanging God that was concerned solely with good works and good morals. But now it has become all about a God who has changed his mind about how he wants people to behave, and he has also changed his mind about the criteria to earn his love.

Clearly that religion is bogus. It simply can't be true. There's no question about it. A person doesn't even need to go outside of the myth to recognize that it's a farce.

If there were any truth to the religion at all, it would need to lie in Judaism or Islam, clearly Catholicism and Protestantism are out of the picture because they veered too far from the original premises of the religion.

So if there is any merit in the religion at all it necessarily must be in the pre-Jesus versions of it.

Jesus would not be a 'savior' at all, but a divider. And for God not to recognize this would imply that God is utterly stupid. Clearly we can't have God being stupid, so the religion necessarily must be rejected based on the fact that it's absurd.

That the only conclusion that can be had if you truly read the Bible.

Jesus cannot possibly have been the son of the God of Abraham. The Old Testament simply doesn't leave that option open.

Read the Bible and you'll see that this has to be the case. Jesus didn't even agree with the God of Abraham and he actually blasphemed against the God of Abraham by denouncing the ways of the Old Testament. The Jews would have been honoring the God of Abraham by murdering Jesus.

There's no way that Jesus could have been the son of the God of Abraham.

It just isn't feasible. The Old Testament doesn't permit it.

Thank you, Christianity is for everyone. I know I’m repeating myself but are you saved. That could be why you do not fully understand. The first thing I want is for people to ask Jesus Christ for salvation if they are not saved. You’ve read the bible you know why I’m asking for everyone to accept Christ. Second I want people to go to a Christian church so they can grow.

MATTHEW 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

MARK 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

LUKE 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

JOHN 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Please don’t deny Christ.

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sin?

If you believe ask for salvation. its as easy as having faith that died and was buried and rose three days later.
