I first heard about Gwar on an episode of the Jerry Springer Show - need to do a bit more research before I have an opinion. Cannibal Corpse are awesome however :D

The last two films I saw were 'The Hobbit' (excellent) and 'Slow Torture Puke Chamber' (big horror fan by the way, also excellent).

I personally enjoy a cross-section of bands in most genres but recently I'm on a massive metal kick. Some of my favourite bands in this genre include: Slipknot Metallica Iron Maiden AC/DC Black Sabbath Korn Dream Theater Mastodon Rage Against the Machine Cradle of Filth Disturbed Morbid Angel Rob Zombie Meshuggah Chelsea Grin Marilyn Manson Does anyone have any favourite bands/artists/tracks along these lines?
