Yup, she (my dog) is something very special <3 those who were evil enough to drop her out in 120+ degree desert will never know what a jewel they threw away.

Yup, that's a 1899 Krag all original except for the cut penny on the front site. It has been passed down to me from my Great Grandpa. I hope to pass it on to my oldest Grandson.

It still shots perfectly, the bolt action makes the most awesome music :)

I can see posting a photo of something that a person feels represents some aspect of their personality in some way. But, using a photo of a different person?

The logic escapes me.

Wishing that they looked like the photo?

Don't seem fair to the real person in the photo though that others are using their pix to get attention.

You say Pahrump has gotten too big? I've gone out twice thinking I was going to find this cool little hideout type of town and was very disappointed both times. It felt like an over grown trailer park to me. I'm sure I must have missed something. If you like little towns and haven't been. Next time you come into Vegas stop by Blue Diamond. What a quaint little place. Love some of the houses.

Pahrump has mostly built homes now.

But when I was living there in the late 90's my son came out from Texas for Thanksgiving and said "Mom, it looks like this whole town could just roll away in the middle of the night".

It's way to big for me now, plus the set up of the roads & town are just dumb, then there are all the meth heads there.

I read the Pahrump Valley Times online & it's scary.

My Uncle Dell is famous in my circles for his boogie-woogie piano. I've always been envious of their carefree lifestyle. I wouldn't mind ending up in a place like Death Valley. Just scaring off the common folk with the name so it doesn't get infested

Yup, the names we have out here such as Funeral Mountains, Devil's Hole, Badwater, Furnace Creek, Devil's Golf Course, ect... do seem to scare off people & it is the 4th most extreme place on Earth & it's really not all that carefree when you need to water during the Summer & it's 130* in the shade...

But the view, sweet well water, fresh air, seeing all the stars at night, all the awesome places in DVNP, ect... makes up for it :)

Both my property & doublewide are paid off & I'm so very thankful to be able to live where I live, on a street (that's really a circle) that bears my name.

I'd whether be trailer trash (as some call it) and have my own sweet well water, clean air, a sprinkle night Sky, the majestic Sunsets over the Funeral Mountains, ect... then live in any house/mansion in a city.

This is my dream place, I feel blessed to be able to grow my own veggies, plant trees (I've started about 60 Aussie Willows), playing outside with such a beautiful view being able to blast my music when ever I want :) to me life would suck if I have to see other houses in my view.

Thank you WithOrWithoutYou,

I don't live in the town of Death Valley I live in Death Valley National Park (DVNP) which covers about 3,300,000 acres or close to 3,000 square miles.

My property, at the foothills of the Funeral Mountains, is a few of the 10,000 acres of DVNP that are privately owned.

Hi,

I joined awhile ago but just got around to finishing my profile.

Probably like most here I'm on a few other sites too. I have had good luck meeting some nice people but so far no one to spend my time cuddle up with :(

Still life is good :) Better to be single then in a bad relationship.

Wish you all the best.

Bright blessings,
Ms. Sly
