Just as a lighthouse watches over
Ships passing in the night,
I will watch over you, my child,
And guide you with my light...
Just as a lighthouse stands
Through the night to light of morn,
Whether the seas are as smooth as glass
Or raging in the midst of storm...
I will guide you along your path
Lighting up your way,
Whether you are sailing in storms of night
Or in the calm of day...
I will stand tall upon the horizon,
Just take a look and see,
As you sail upon the seas of life,
There I will always be...
So fear not when you are troubled,
Or drifting in dismay,
For I promise just as a lighthouse,
I will light your way.

As thoughts of you
Make my mind wander,
The tears fill my eyes
As my heart ponders...
What could I do
To take your pain away?
To help you to smile,
What could I say?
So dear to my heart
You are to me,
If only I knew how
I would take your pain upon me...
Just so that again
You could smile and laugh all day,
