I am curious to know if any of you that have been posting in this thread are going to be able to go see them in concert this summer during the Idol Tour??? On Saturday when the tickets went on sale through Ticketmaster to the general public my daughter and I were really lucky and landed three tickets 13 rows from the floor one section away from the end of the stage. Really great seats! We will be able to see them all great from there! I have never paid so much to go to a concert in my life as I did for these seats but it will be worth it! Our concert is July 24th in Detroit! I can't wait. No matter what the outcome is from tonight (which I just feel in my  will be our man David Cook!  ) it still will be wonderful to see them all in concert! Anyhow after the concert and if we can sneak in a camera and get some good pictures I will post them in my profile and let you all know about it in this forum!

Journey rocks! I was at a couple of their concerts back in the day! Joe Louis Arena in Detroit and DTE sittin on the hill! It was awesome!

I love Journey... and listen to many of their best at least a few times a week! Escape was a great album.. and the last notes of Faithfully grab me everytime Even my girls (ages 8 & 16) have favorite Journey songs (yep.. mama has done a VERy good jon of brainwashing )
Saw them live oh-so many decades ago.. and loved it!
Oh yes, Faithfully.... get ya every time for sure! My daughter is 24 she got hooked on them years ago also when mom was listening to them. She has all her friends at college hooked on em now too! It's great!

I'll be voting for David C.
I just think David A. is not cut out to handle what it takes to be the next American Idol. But it doesn't matter, he'll get a record deal anyway, because he is a good singer. Good! Glad to hear it... round up your friends, family and neighbors to vote for him too!
There was 56 million people voted last week for 3 contestants.. we are now down to the two of them.. we want 60 million votes this week and we want 75% of them for D. Cook!

I find it hard to say no to friends/family and especially my 4 year old daughter. totally agree with you on this one!

The only person I find it hard to say no to is my daughter. It will always be that way to Born... mine is 24 and I still have trouble saying no! I love her so much it just seems to come out "Oh sure no problem" lol!

Well I want to be there but you know it being on a Sunday Val it is making a tough one for me... but plan is as of right now I will say yes... and you will be taking me! hahahaha! You have to drive I hate driving in Detroit area! Putting my 2 cents worth in I think the best Metro Park for this is Metro Beach. It is huge! You have the beach, a whole lot of picnic area, if anyone has a boat and wants to bring it there is a launch for boats too. Just an idea for ya! I will let you know what I will make for a dish when it gets a bit closer to that date Val & Tanya!

Good thing I cant vote (since I'm not in America lol) otherwise I should have casted my vote 5 times for David C K! [every 5 minutes  ]
For Archuleta, he is at the mercy of teenies so AI should put a rule that one can vote if he/she is at least 20 years old

You know you want too! Get out those cell phones and text or call those numbers. Funny thing is on our cell phones we call as they are not AT&T phones and it does not take any minutes at all off of our phones. Last week we got in over 600 calls between 3 phones going! We voted the full two hours! This week they are giving us FOUR HOURS to vote!!! So do your best if you really feel David Cook is talented enough to be the next AMERICAN IDOL!!! I know we will be! That's the bad part of the show. It turns into a popularity contest instead of the best quality singer. I suppose with some people especially the teeny beeny little girls that is true.. they do not vote because of talent as they are actually to young to know true talent. However my daughter and I have voted PLENTY... the past 12 weeks for David Cook.. I feel he has wonderful potential and can and will be a great asset to the music industry! One talented artist! And just to throw in another 2 cents worth he isn't bad on the eyes either.. to the ladies obviously! lol!

Growing old is mandatory,growing up is optional. I'll never grow-up now that I reached my second childhood, actually it's my first, I always had to be responsible for my family when I was a child. But there's no stopping me now, not over the hill, mountain climbing for fun. When's the last time you played in the rain, caught frogs and fireflies, picked wildflowers, climbed a tree? I do all those things, life is wonderful. Mountain climbing... yikes I would kill myself.. but walking, and hiking some little hills.. that's okay!
Catching frogs and fireflies last summer on the back of our property in the country...  which I don't have that property this year.. oh well! Picking wildflowers do it all the time! Climbing a tree... well I have problems with my knees and such so that's out! Okay so I am half way up the hill... at 54! lol!
