Have a good one  and don't forget an umbrella in case of rain(it's sad when liberty spikes droop)!

These things aren't drooping, Knox gelatin can survive a hail of gunfire in your hair...I pierced a wall with these things, they won't fall for the life of me.laugh

That stuff melts when wet! At least it's been in my experience.

Oops, sorry.

can I ask you a question ?

Go for it.

okay here goes...

#1 Are you Jewish ?
#2 Are you straight ?
#3 Will you marry me ?

take your time...I don't need an answer today...lol...actually my original question was going to be number two...

Why on earth would you ask her if she was Jewish?

I was just having some fun with her...she's cute ...and...she reminds me of my ex...you'll also notice she turned down my marriage proposal...tears

Gee I wonder why...

That first one is a big issue. I think most people could agree on it.

Probably because some where along the line they have tried to do the counter culture thing and knows it gets to be a real drag after a while. Ot lost someone they really love because they didn't fit the traditional mold and they just couldn't hang after enough abuse.

Good insight...I don't follow the road of counter culture (at least I don't think I do). I just stand out moreso then those around me, I wear my hair up in spikes and wear plaid pants. What I'm wondering is why do people tell someone like myself that we shouldn't dress how we're comfortable or do our hair up in a style that is different from the typical daily found hairstyles? As well as where this style (outside of work) in some way means that I will probably not be successful?
Ok who is saying this to you and in what context??? Is it your mom???? Cause moms do that....my hair was never perfect....my clothes were too flashy.....I wasnt tall enough or skinny enough....can you believe that????

Wow! No offense but your mom sounds like a bag. Mine did not like my fluorescent green hair...Or the dark red-brown I eventually died it to cover it up. But lets not hate on the parental units!

frustrated

I just think that lifestyle is wrong

whatever they want to do...I don't care...

oops You just contradicted yourself!

IF you did not care you would not be worried about what they are doing in safety of their own homes. Or if they get married or not.

one last time...what they do..I don't give a crap...but...NO LEGAL MARRIAGE...then we would be sanctioning a behavior thats wrong...sheesh !

It is not wrong to the people who feel right doing it. So yes, if your definition of correct is what a homophobic straight man constitutes then yes what a homosexual does to another who willing participates is in fact wrong.
Marrige is defined as a contract. So legally anyone should be able to consent to one. Not just straight people.

I'm curious to how you think you're not being homophobic. Truely it's fascinating.
But I'm always even more curious because I can't understand why someone might be afraid of a homosexual person.

I have a story about a close friend from when we were in highschool. We'll call her "L"

L new she liked girls from a young age. I met her in highschool on the first day, first class. It was gym. Now coming from a smaller city many of us had gone to school with one another for many years. So some of the girls already knew about L's sexual orientation. But, any news is not good news in high school.
L was very shy about it and didn't really tell people fearing that they'd stop being her friends. Fearing that they were homophobic. I bet you can't even begin to imagine what's that like.
The girls in the gym class harrassed L badly. Screaming out that she was watching them change. Being a middle party I could plainly see that L changed in a corner- with her back to the room. Never looking at anyone in fear they might freak out and think she was attracted to them.

Wow, you can't even look around a room of people because you might be attracted to someone and they'll tease you and make you feel like dirt. L never liked any of those girls...as I'm sure you can imagine why. They were horribly confused as to what it means to be a lesbian.

Just because you like a person of the same sex doesn't mean you like everyone of the same sex. Homophobia is LAME. Anyone who is needs a reality check! Think of it this way, you can't be the most perfect human being on this planet. So not everyone is going to like you and therefore the world does not revolve around you. And not all homosexuals are going to want to touch you or sleep with you.

try the religious threads..whoo!!

Are they really that terrible?

I don't know if that'd be a good idea...I stopped attending church because of the bigoted hypocrisy that the leaders of that particular place were "teaching"...to small children no less...

OK I'm new but I've had a couple bad kisses in my day.

One I haven't read yet is the woman with limp lips. I'm not talking about soft and pliable, but limp with no responce...LOL

Maybe kissing that fish wasn't so bad.

BTW nice to meet you folks.

Welcome!
