My other friends live so far away now, making it hard to hang out with on a daily basis. Plus, they've seem to gone down lame lane lately. Anyone that lives closer to the Navarre area that wants to make an extra friend to hang out with? Even though I'm in a silly mood now; if you're serious about this offer then so am I! LoL

Send a Tell if so and we can chat it up to start. Humor me. ;)

I have been saying this for years!frustrated I can't stand when I can't understand people because they are just making up their own abbreviations. I can understand the "common" short hand terms but why make up your own? I got in an argument with an ex one time on yahoo because I asked him something and he said "y"...normally that means the question "why" but he made it stand for "yes" and totally confused me.

The only time I will even come close to short hand is if I am running out of room in a text and only have so many left. But even then I will make it readable.

Thank you! At least you understand. I can understand a little bit of the shorthand as I tend to play games online with other people, and during a Player versus Player match I don't have time to type properly or long sentences. It has to be quick, short, and readable. Though, most games have their own lingo and you still have to learn what they are. However, when someone is too lazy to type out a full word to make a complete and sensible sentence, it becomes increasingly difficult and frustrating to try to interpret. It's best to type out what you're trying to say because there is a chance that person you're talking to may not exactly be on the same page.

That's what chat room does to people...who allowed it to...

I agree. Short hand is one thing if you're taking notes, but I don't find it acceptable for holding a formal conversation online with another. It's quite frustrating trying to figure out what they're trying to say and having to decide how to respond to it if you're not used to reading that kind of style.

I can only give out my condolences to the families this has affected. I wish them the best on such a sad day.

As for the 2 dead, I assumed they were a couple. Not to sound cynical the idea of this incident, or to defile those two that have passed on...but if this was the way I was to die, I'd rather die along with my spouse, and or lover. It gives it a bittersweet tragic love kind of tone. Though, I regret to see/hear of any kind of death. Especially on a holiday when you're supposed to be with family.

Thanks for demonstrating that, italianman4u.

And DeepTheNerd, it is a bad habit to have. Especially if you're working to impress a girl.

I've noticed that a lot of the people who IM me tend to speak in short hand text. They all sound the same. When a word is spelled F-R-O-M they choose to spell it "frm". What's wrong with adding that ONE extra letter to finish spelling it out? That is just the one example. I've met some that have a way of typing that make the message seem completely brutal to read. You would think, for a first impression, they would like to at least attempt by spelling out proper sentences. Or making yourself understood. I would appreciate it if they could attempt to hold a decent and intellectual conversation with me. As well as pretend to sound smart....even if they're not.

i.e. "wish f cud be juss frenz". If this was an attempt to ask me if we could be friends then I would have to say it was a major fail.

Now, I'm not asking for perfection. I understand there are mistypes all the time....but come on.... I promise I'm not a grammar Nazi. I'm not sure if you all out there have any of the same issues and or feel the same way. If not, then lucky you. Just felt like venting a little. Don't mind my shenanigans. Good day to you.

If you notice, it's not just this site that have fake profiles and fake people. It's the whole network and pixel world. Though, my question is, what purpose do they have for misleading information on a dating site? What do they get out of it? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

I can respect you for holding true and strong to yourself. You owe yourself that much. Don't put yourself through meaningless heartache or with just any guy to whom you may not see in your future. Find a man that meets your needs and that you can meet his. "Don't be a woman that needs a man, be a woman that a man needs." And vice verse.

No problem. I just don't understand how people don't see this coming. How can they not realize the repercussions this can cause. Obama (in my opinion, and many others) is more likely than not to be a terrorist implant. He's dishonest and corrupt. I can't understand how Americans can allow him to stay in office. Why hasn't he been impeached yet? Has our government really failed us? The first day of him back in office and he's already selling America up the river to third world countries. As he is doing with selling our oil and gas rights off to China. That is worth billions of dollars that could be used to support our country and getting us out of debt. America has the means to take care of itself with it's own resources, but if he sells it all off then we are screwed.

I apologize for the rant...as you can tell, I'm not very fond of Obama. He's going to run our country into the ground; and many refuse to see it and sit in denial that it could be true. I would love to say that I am wrong, and we are wrong, and hope the chaos never comes to be so....but if we're not wrong, then I guess it's safe to assume that America will go to war to fight for their freedom yet again.

Here is an article that explains a little of suspected reason to Obama hating America. I, personally, believe Obama wants to see this country fall. And to all of those who voted for him back in office...well, they brought this upon themselves. I feel the only way for them to see the truth of it all is for something tragic to happen...Given time, Obama will make it all so by the end of his term.

Now, this post is mainly based on my opinion and research I find on this imposter President. Sometimes, it's the slightest things that seem harmless can really do the most damage in the long run. His acts that may be small and insignificant can mean a lot when everything comes to light someday.

It would be wise for everyone to stay current. To keep up with what goes on in this world today. Otherwise, we lay blind to the things that are really going on; and it could hurt us. It's almost like admitting that just because someone has a smile on their face they are happy and live a perfect life; which would be far from the truth. Anyone can put a smile upon their face to hide the dysfunctional life and dark motives beneath the surface. It's the same with our government. They show you what they want you to see...but what about the things they hide from us?

What game does the government play at? What strings do they pull to get their way and what they want? How many cover ups do they have just to portray a lie to comfort the citizens? What does this mean for us? And what are Obama's TRUE motives?

Perhaps this is what we get for trusting someone who promises change....but never clarifies what kind of change.....so what 'CHANGE' does Obama have for us? So many questions that lead to more questions....I guess we'll find out the answers when we see them come to pass.

Ayn Rand saw it coming in the fifties, yet People still think she is an Idiot!frustrated

"Atlas Shrugged" was a very well written book. So many have misinterpreted her philosophy and message from that novel. I haven't read any of her other work, sadly. But you're right, Ayn Rand had predicted something of the sort. I watched a documentary on her and what she went through in Russia. She claimed to see similar signs happening in America and the path it was headed down as she had experienced in Russia. If that is the case, things don't look so bright for our future.

However, if things do get really bad, I'm sure America won't go down without a fight. At least I won't. I'll fight for my freedom until my dying breath. No one is going to take that away from me.

Well, I suppose you could rant and rave to me if you wanted...And I certainly don't have an ulterior motive or anything, as you said, it is all for the sake of conversation anyway, aye?

I might even show you my stoop if you're lucky.

I'm such a joy...

lol It's great having a forum here. I can rant and rave about (non-personal) things and get people riled up. I'll probably get a lot of smack, but I'm sure it'll help pass the time when I have nothing better to do. I don't sleep well, so I'm usually up when everyone else is sleeping; leaving me with nothing to do.

Don't forget to "bend and SNAP!"

Ha! It's just when you get online and someone decides to chat you up they're always looking for something extra. I just don't get out much and so I don't get to meet a variety of people. And preferably, I'd like to talk to someone that I can have somewhat of an intellectual conversation with. Or at least someone that doesn't mind me ranting or venting about a few things. Sure, I probably sound ridiculous, but hey, it's all for the sake of conversation and meeting people...right?

Here is a quote from someone commenting on a YouTube video that I also like to share:

"Remember Obama's "I can be more flexible after the election"? On August 1, 2012 - Pravda quoted Vladimir Putin expressing his anger at Obama for refusing to pull back US troops from Eastern Europe - as promised by George Bush. Putin stated, in retaliation - he's had nuclear missiles installed on CUBA. When Romney called Russia "our greatest geopolitical foe" - Obama mocked him. But, Romney was correct. Putin claims to have installed nuclear missiles 90 miles from our shores - thanks to Obama."

I'm looking for some friends to chat with when I get bored...and am up at the wee hours of the morning when all others are asleep. I'm not looking for anyone to date or hook up. Just a friend who can carry on a conversation.

Don't forget to mention the implications in the Obamacare program that states that every American will be forced to have a micro-chip implanted by a certain time....and if you don't comply it will put you out of work.

http://www.dailypaul.com/223261/obamacare-mandates-rfid-chips-to-be-implanted-in-all-americans-by-march-23rd-2013

I'm sorry, but I refuse these terms. I will not be forced to take on these terms that I do not agree with.

There is a storm headed this way, and America will be in for quite a ride...
