Be there for her, but give her space too..... Maybe give her something of this new angels, something that will help her to feel closer to her.

My daughter is 12 going on 13 in less than a month (oh boy), She lost her grandma in August at the age of 53. She was really close to her grandma as she was pretty much raised by her because of the situation with her mom. Anyways she was devastated. The day she died is the same day that we had to check into summer family bible camp. after we left the hospital we went there. The first few nights she woke me up with her sobbing. I crawled up in her bunk and held her. I made sure she new I was there. I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk and we did, in the pitch black, but it was a way of showing her I was there.

As long as she knows that, she'll be fine. She needs to be able to mourn in her own way. It will also make her stronger.

Sorry so long....

Welcome....It's funny how quick and nice people were to respond to my new member post. It was almost instant that people started saying hi. Hope things go good for you in your new city and with your divorce. And remember if your having a bad day there seems to be thousands of friends here to talk to.

Hello,

New at this online stuff. Just wanted to take the time to say hi, Course being new at this, I have nothing but time right now, At least until I get some friends to talk to and keep me busy. I am searching for my soul mate, but also like meeting new people.

Thanks,
~Kevin
