My take on it is this, look at every film or tv show that involves robots or AI - Created and programmed by humans - including human error - when the **** hits the fan and it all goes wrong, its put right by the humans. - even with the evolutions in robotics they still struggle with basic tasks unless controlled by a human. Answer they will never be smart enough to not need humans.
