Today I opened my eyes only to wonder where you are. It’s been so long since I’ve heard your sweet voice or read you silent words.

Wondering gets the best of me so I pick up the phone and push my ten favorite numbers. There is a short silence while the call connects. I wait impatiently as the phone on the other end rings once…twice, “Hello,” a woman answers.

“Uhh is Charlie there?” I ask. A long silence, my heart drops. The woman on the other end begins to sob hysterically. I know the answer to my question. The icy tears take their toll on me as I go numb and hang up the phone.

All of a sudden a gentle breeze brushes my wet cheeks as if drying them, and I realize that you are here with me. My tears stop suddenly as if they were turned off by a faucet. An overwhelming warmth overcomes me, and I know you are here.

Almost instantly piece by piece things beging to come together. I then knew that you had been with me since the day you left. You left you physical home to take home in my soul. You became the whispering wind that floats through the night, sending chills down my spine then warming me as I walk. You became the beautiful white snow that swirls beneath my feet, and last you were that shadowdey figure that watches me in my dreams.

Yesterday I took note taht you were with me also, except you weren’t in the wind, snow, or my dreams, you were that sleek black raven with soft yellow eyes that has been following me. I knew ther was a special attraction between the magnificient creature and I, but I was almost perplexed.

You are my raven, my whispering wing, my swirling snow, and my dream keeper. Even though your gone and I miss you, I know your happy now, and will always be with me.

Our souls now both intertwine and my heart burns with passion as I long to touch you as you have me. We are now eternally linked by the powre of love and friendship. No more tears will I shed knowing you safe within my heart. I love you, my wind, my raven, my friend….
