I grew up in a rather affectionless (not to mention dysfunctional) household, and -as a result- I tend not to show very much in the way of such. So showing or receiving affection in any shape essentially means nothing to me. She did get beat as a kid, that might have a big role in it huh? It could, but it could also have to do with any emotional abuse or trauma that may have happened in her childhood. Heck- just seeing the parents bicker and argue about stuff would be enough to make someone hardened like that. You're just gonna have to ask her and try to get to the bottom of things. You'll probably even need to take her in some for counseling. We've only known each other for 2 weeks, I don't think I should be probing her mind just yet and counseling might be way down the line from now if I do try that |
