good luck , and thanks. the truth is any external can be any drive except for wd and seagate . they will be there own. as far as customer service. I had no problem with them. I put quality over cs any day.
If you open it up u might find a seagate or wd. you wont find an iomega drive .they are just the casing. Just like mac. its just a pc with a differnt plastic case = always has been that way.

The pclinux os people are kinda of uppity, but the os is great.

Did u get a new or bigger HDD . Its is known that once u do that it wont power up. It needs a bigger power supply.

I go by facts after going thru R&D. So thats why its facts. Actually PClinux Os isnt hard to learn at all . Its really easy alot more so then windos. A true fix as we both agree on is to loose pista and at least get Win 7 and thats harder especially if he doesn't have the cash or isnt an IT whiz. Which why the answer is PCLinuxOS. Lets just hope he can lose pista

Plus lets not forget CCleaner running that after a little config of about 5 min would fix alot.

actually the jaguar was 8bit. They said do the math 8 8bit cpus. much like pcs=macs now. With thier 8bit graphics and 2bit sound. All of which u cant mulititaks on a DOS based system.

Amiga on the other hand:
True 64bit cpu gone to True 64bit PARISC and beyond
True 48bit graphics plux the 8bit Alpha in each superior channel of RGBE
True 256bit sound or usually used true 128bit with the Toaster/Flyer which still cant be beat.

Ok I have been R&Ding for years , and I have found out that PCLinux Os is the best distro=version of Linux yet. I mean bar none. Except where it was invented on an Amiga 3000. But thats a different story. Free BSD is the same difference and they say so on their website. Just a different way to get to the same place. Linux took the right fork Free BSD took the left. SO PclinuxOS being much easier to use up front, but as powerful as being a server as ever Linux distro can be .. except for a very few which they limit on purpose. The summary is to get PCLINUXOS :

another thing to point out is that Facebook does get attacked . Which can cause these scripting errors. Although most of the time its caused by IE=Internet explorer. I use Firefox. Use Firefox . Good luck

1. never use anything Microsoft. The security essentials are based on Symantec which is Norton. Ok the Os u have to deal with go Win 7. Me I use PCLinuxOS for my clients and myself.

AVG is second rated to Bitdefender which has been number 1 for 12 years now. Based on judges around the world. Secondly, Avg doesn't and never has slowed down the system.

Bitddefender.
Install all this after u format and install win or pclinuxos

There are lemon drives in every company next time get a seagate external. i would make a Live linux cd of PCLinux OS . If it cant read it. then it is toast. Once it can put the data over to the computer and raw format not quick delete. Good luck
