Please never spank a dog. They don't get it. Don't let your dog sleep with you until she's potty trained. Get a crate that's just big enough for her to stand up and turn around in. This is so the dog won't use one end as a bathroom. She's going to have to go to the bathroom about every 3 hours until she learns to hold it. If you put the crate in your bedroom and get some ear plugs, she'll learn to hold it over night. Don't use pee pads either. It just shows them that it's okay to go in the house. Use an enzyme based cleaner to clean up any accidents. The first 6 months are the hardest. I have 2 Boston Terriers and one of them is still in training. Good luck!
