Agreeing with ZMan, any meetings with an unknown person (first date) should be done in a safe place. Think about what could be the worse case scenerio, and go in there with a battle\escape plan. There are some seriously messed up people in our society (most of the news is based on them).
For me, I offer a limited trust upon first meet or chat, then through continued dates, the trust builds (or fails). As time and dates continue, the person will have proven they are trustworthy (in their actions, words, facial expressions, body language), or not. Be sure to take the time to read the signs. 'Rodney Dangerfield' "...always look out for #1, and don't step in #2". |
