I think I definitely have some unresolved issues with my last relationship that cause me to project in a cocky or superior manner as a defense mechanism. I'm really a very humble person, but reading my profile again I can see where the impression comes from. I guess I'm just afraid of getting hurt and I try to keep people at a distance without realizing it. It seems I have a lot of soul searching to do. Thank you all for your insight.

Thank you all for your honesty. Often it is very hard to see ourselves from the outside. I appreciate all of you helping to give me perspective.
