Scientific studies continue to find evidence to support the idea that homosexuality is genetic. If you adopt a child, he or she is either straight or gay according to genetics, not according to how they are raised. You just know. I didn't have to decide whether I liked girls or guys, I just liked guys. Nobody influenced me as to what I should like. Gay people who adopt (I know some) do not try to influence their children's sexuality. If they were of the twisted mindset that they would do that, I would hope they would never get the approval to adopt.

I was shocked at the number of young guys who were interested. I didn't think I was a cougar because they came looking for me, but I'll take the nickname because of the young guys that come with it.

Young guys are fun, not expecting you to take care of them, cook for them, etc. They just want to enjoy your experience and your sexual confidence, which is great. For the most part, I find they are OK at sex, but they're really pretty, which makes up for it. Plus, you can instruct them.

As for being alone, this is my first Christmas alone. My husband died in April, we didn't have any children and my elderly parents are a couple of hours' drive away. I've been with them for a few days but had to head back home today to work tomorrow. It's beyond lonely right now for me, so yes, I understand. All I can say is, it will be over soon.

I'll complain about having all the responsibility for caring for my late aunt who had alzheimer's. She died last year and now my mom has it. I have no help, no siblings. This spring my husband died. I took care of him. Work full time, have three dogs to take care of and my house needs work. I'm trying to date but finding everybody just wants to have sex, then I find out it's because they're already married. Who knew? Not that I have a problem with having sex, but I don't want to have to worry about having my car vandalized for sleeping with a guy whose got a violent wife. Plus I'd like to be able to go out in public occasionally with a man I'm doing. I'm tired, or to quote Madelyn Kahn in "Blazing Saddles," I'm tie-wad, soooo tie-wad."
