In theory it sounds great but that will never happen. The ACLU would be all over it. Compatibility blood tests, IQ tests, personal skills tests, Psych evaluations, and parenting classes should be required before breeding. I feel sorry for the innocent children brought into the world by SOME idiots. 
There are countless people who should not have children, pets or any living creatures. Noone else should ever be given control over reproductive rights,, that is a Pandoras Box waiting to happen. Noone is perfect, some learn as they go, some are naturals,, there is no predetermination that can predict what will or wont happen . who says? Why is reproduction and the responsibility to love and care for a child a "right"? What about a child's right to not be abused and/or neglected? Which right is more important? The "right" to reproduce should never be hampered when someone is capable and willing to handle the responsibility. It should be hampered, however, when the person isn't. |

a problem with the test is that someone can be highly intelligent but that doesn't mean they would be good parents. I do wonder sometimes about parents, though....like my neighbors I think the OP meant psychological testing which do not just test intelligence. @ OP - I agree. If I were queen of the world I'd temporarily sterilize everybody at birth and make each person undergo psych evaluations to assess their ability to love and care for another human being before they have the procedure reversed I realize what he meant.

hiya bonny! same to ya and best wishes for the new year as well. the holidays was hectic, helped with some home renovations and was sore for days 
how about yours? I had a blast, I went to my son's on Christmas day. My sister, niece and great niece who live in Barbados phoned on Christmas day. I was a tad jealous, they had sunshine. How ironic, I for one wouldn't have minded experiencing a white Christmas

I just went into youtube and watched it...starts with his childhood home and ends with the hat on the stool? I'm sure it was the right one cause I put in Spike Lee... It was nice. I like to see all that old footage, reminds me of seeing him when I was a kid..he is just a year older than me. Decent song too. I don't care what anybody says..I love Michael, still sad and makes me cry when I think about it all. Have you ever read his book..Moonwalker? It's a Pretty good read. yea that's the one. the hat on the stool brought tears to my eyes .
no i haven't read moonwalker, i hadn't even known he'd written a book until recently, but i intend to get it at some point. MJ is the only pop star i actually consider myself a real fan of...
