well he said what i figured he was gonna say bc he was pushing hard to meet me and then came a sexual question.im glad he doesnt have my number lol

Looks like you made a good call, haha.

Personally I think 4 or 5 messages is enough interaction to ask for a phone number, depending on how detailed the conversations were and how interested both parties appear to be. Then again, I'm the kind of person who would rather meet sooner than later because I'm more likely to know if I am or am not interested by judging how things go in person.

In the past, when I've given people my number before I really wanted to, I ended up with people who sent constant and annoying texts or called repetitively. So just go with your gut! Instant Messengers are always a good middle ground. bigsmile

What a coincidence. My ex boyfriend moved from Michigan to California, except he hated it here. He decided to move back because somehow jail in Michigan was better than being in California another day. spock

From my experience, just about everyone I've met who ends up moving here from somewhere else ends up disappointed. But to be fair, I do live in Modesto and it's not the best representation of what California has to offer. Even day trips to the beach can't take away from the fact that the entire Central Valley in California is a drag to live in.

Personally, I would choose somewhere up north to live like Eureka, Arcata or anywhere in Humboldt County. I like the idea of being so close to nature and having a more laid back community.

Some people might try to sell you on areas like the Bay Area or San Francisco, but from what I've experienced, I wouldn't really like it. SF is like a maze to me and if you plan on walking around (and that might end up as your primary mode of transportation) be prepared for crowded streets where people don't acknowledge personal space and lack basic manners.

And well, San Jose is a kind of nice city. It's near the beach and there's usually plenty of things to do there. But I think the cost of living over there is more expensive than where I'm at, for example.

I liked Trouble, Chinese Checkers, Candyland, and Sorry.
Not really a board game, but I loved Bop It and have one in my room still.

I still play board games. At my house we have over 40--all the classics and some neat random ones too.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

That was really helpful, soufiehere. Thank you.
And that's a shame, bj1553. I imagine that is probably the case.

The last movie I watched was Apollo 18. I wasn't too impressed. Actually, I almost fell asleep within the first 30 minutes. But it was better than Paranormal Activity, in my opinion, not that that says much.

My mom wants to see Drive soon. Kind of looking forward to that. bigsmile

My Geometry teacher freshman year of high school agreed with you. One day we had a bonus question on a test where we had to name his favorite band. Of course I got it right--Pink Floyd. I mean, he mentioned this almost every day. laugh

I can appreciate some of their songs.

I listen to a lot of different music, and from what I heard I see potential in your son's style.

I prefer the song "It Shows". I don't know if that's your son who raps in the song, but I like the voice and those parts of the song flow pretty nicely. I also like the beat that's used right before the chorus.

Like most of the other posters, I'm not a huge fan of the autotune.

Good luck to your son.
It's good to have a passion for something, keep making music! drinker

Hello, everyone!
I just made this account and have been browsing the forums for a bit. Everyone seems really nice.

I tried using the search feature and there's something I'm curious about. When I look at someone's profile it says how long it's been since that person last signed in. One thing it says is, "Last seen over a month ago." I think that's as far as it goes, which makes me wonder whether that might mean the person was on last month, or six months ago. Has anyone messaged and gotten a reply back from someone who had that text on their profile?
