If I like the look of you, I’d go drink/eat whatever you’re offering to treat me to. If I don’t, then I tell you no + an excuse I can hear the excuse now, sorry I already ate this week. |

I fell on the ice in the street one time and broke my arm. Is that funny? Falls are only funny until someone gets hurt. |

I would add my initials to every reviewed and approved post. People would wonder why the word WAR was showing up all over the place.

I must admit that reading through these posts cracked me up a bit.

Guess I was lucky. Have been on a week or so did some searches, posted in a few forums, a few nudges, lots of scammers but was lucky enough to find someone willing to talk about normal things yesterday. Exchanged numbers (yes, domestic), and had a very pleasant conversation today. There are real people out there. Just have to weed through alot to find them.

It has been almost that long for me too. Maybe I'll try it as a pickup line. Just walk up to someone and ask if they feel like a blind date right now. The response would be interesting.

Has been a mild summer here so far. I think there were only 2 days of over 90f. We have a cold spell next week. Supposed to be back in double digits for a few days. |

Jumping on an airplane in Denver where it is 89 and heading to Clovis CA where the high today is 108, ugh. At least will be in Idaho in a few weeks.

If you can't be real in a forum, I'm not sure why you are here and not in the pickup lounge, if there is one of those. I like reading other's thoughts and ideas. It helps me in developing my own.

I've said this before here but I think a lot of people that use dating sites communicate so little / poorly that many of their dates are close to "blind" dates. I don't understand this... On the other hand I have had email and text conversations that have led to information overload. I think gone are the days of 2nd and 3rd dates where you are still discovering likes and/or dislikes. Cutting to the chase takes alot out of the pursuit. |

For me the fear of the unknown leading up to the dates caused alot of anxiety. Hopefully in the future the anxiety will be replaced by anticipation. Its kind of like going on vacation. The month leading up to the trip is almost as much fun as the vacation itself. I think I actually like the nervousness of a first date, blind or otherwise.

I didn't think people still went on blind dates. I guess I am showing my age a bit. |

Anyone have blind date horror stories? The couple I have been on turned out ok for the most part.

Omg, I hope I didnt cause that guy to think "if it was just him?" Now I am feeling bad.. I guess we all looking for special someone :-) Nope, I don't think you did at all. I think we all lack some much needed confidence. All except a couple of posters, lol. Thanks for the story. Very enjoyable and relatable. |

As she turns and walks away my head hangs a little lower. Is it just me I wonder? It's been so long since i did the whole dating thing, I think to myself. It's harder than I remember. One of these days though I know that special someone will feel the same spark. Funny thing though, just for a minute I thought this might be the one.
