Sorry to hear, but i do think age gap did play into it
she's young and just starting her career which takes her away. ..instead of established
or nearing the end of one such as yourself.

Different ages have different priorities and directions in life....sounds
like you are going different directions as a direct result of the age gap...but thats
my opinion

I'd like to say eyes.....but then I realized I've never been turned off by someones eyes....

So I have to say mouth, lips, teeth, shape....

As I've definitely been turned off by someones mouth

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone, they are much appreciated!

My day has been great so far, normal workday but happy to have a secure job, good people, and a good woman next to me.

Can't really complain at all, oh and amazon prime...so I can binge watch Stargate Atlantis :)

When Microsoft announces that 7 is EOl, that's when Ubuntu, or Mint will become my primary OS...

I looked into windows 10....no thanks, can't turn off auto-updates(unless you pay pro version, and do it through group policy),

There was a security analysis that went through and disabled all revoked rights to all the monitoring software, but for good measure he did a network packet capture to see what his computer was doing, turns out even with everything off, the computer was still 'phoning home' to multiple IP addresses in Micro's domain, too the tune of 100's of times an hour.....No thanks.

As a network engineer/security analyst myself I could go through and block/disable these ports/IPs/particular protocols, or even by a third-party device that would allow me deep-packet inspection and do it that way....but I do that at work, and I'm paid for it. I'm not going to put the same effort into my home, just so my network is clean....Ubuntu/Mint easier, faster, and I know will not be EOL for a long, long, long time. Just my opinion though.

my man I am talking about that initial attraction and sizzle

that chemistry...and hell yes you better feel something in the beginning

not just your brain trying to convince you that she is a nice person..

Umm...pardon my confusion then....

right now as we speak

I know four couples

guilty of THIS situation

three of them are married

and I am fairly certain

due to conversations, things they have said or let slip

that they are not in love with their spouse

these are second marriages by the way

whoa

settle for something that we know is less than love?

no heart palpatations,

you are not getting anxious, nervous

cannot wait to see him or her

or hear their voice on the phone

I don't believe the above is 'love' it is lust triggered by a dopamine release in the brain, it's exciting, new, fun, etc...But definitely not love, a precursor sure...but love nope at least in my opinion

everything is quite matter of fact, calm

and arranged

This on the other hand could be love of the oxytocin variety (pair bonding), or it may not be it would depend on each individuals motivation,

If an elderly gentleman comes home every night, helps his disabled wife into a bath, and generally does the same routine day-in-day out....

would any question if he has 'settled' just because he may not get the 'butterflies' ?

Love in my opinion is giving of yourself, of your time, doing for someone because you care about them, it isn't selfishly seeking some sort of emotional high for oneself...just my opinion

why do this?

It's a natural progression of a relationship, granted every now and then you should still try to excite your partner, and rekindle, not to bring love back in, but because but they deserve excitement, and break from routine now and again
