There is no hope for these types of people.....the death penalty is actually doing them a favour....lethal injection....almost painless...

I say, let them out in general population in a highly violent jail and let the prisoners have a go at them!!!mad mad mad explode explode explode

That sounds like a plan. laugh

While what these people did was completely and utterly horrible, I don't personally believe the government should be in the business of determining who lives and who dies. I've always thought the death penalty lets people off the hook.

Hillary's too "say what you want to hear", Guiliani's got the morals of a weasel, Obama's simply not presidential material, and Thompson's too lazy.

I can agree with all your other responses, but don't quite understand the one I bolded. How is he not presidential material? Even though he's not the best debater in the world (which shouldn't matter a whole lot), I think he does have the best ability to inspire and lead people, which is what we need now more than anything.

I used to be a Edwards-backer, and still like him personally, however I don't quite understand his strategy of avoiding questions about him saying one thing and actually doing something else. I've watched several of the debates, and he still hasn't quite answered questions about his hedge-fund experience. All I want is for him to be forthright, and I'm not seeing that from him.

I'm considering going to Bullfrog's next Tuesday to go see the stand-up comedians, but I've never been there before. Anyone else been there?

Cool, reba! My grandparents (now deceased) on my father's side, were from Rush City. They lived on a farm on the outskirts for as long as I knew them.

That they do! Go Vikes! drinker

If Tarvaris can start progressing a little quicker, we might actually have a shot at the playoffs. Now wouldn't that be a kick in the pants!

My 20s pretty much sucked, except for the college years. Now, that I'm reaching my mid-30s and I'm now divorced, it's looking up from here on out!

I don't really know what a good picture would look like, since I don't picture real well.

I also haven't mastered the art of smiling yet (it looks funky when I try to smile laugh ).

And I thought it was bad that it's only been 10 months for me, since the last time my now ex-wife and I had done it.

Had a rough day, Trekkin? I'm sorry all that happened to you, but some days Murphy's Law applies. I've had many of those days myself. Things will get better though.

I personally like this weather myself, because it's cool, comfortable, and of course, some females like to call it snugglin' weather. I was amazed to wake up yesterday (I got back from visiting my kids at 3 am Wednesday morning) to find ice droplets on my windshield. I kicked on the defroster, put on some tunes, and was ready to go.

Well, I'm a native Minnesotan, living the first 20+ years of my life there...does that count? laugh

See the shirt I'm wearing and the jacket and helmet in the background? I'm a Vikings diehard here in Kansas.

DALLAS STARS ALL THE WAY

They'll always be the North Stars to me. drinker

We obviously don't get much hockey here in Kansas, but I'm actually hoping a hockey team moves to Kansas City, so I might actually get to go see the Wild in person.

Turning 30 was hard for me because I was single. Now I am single again..no boyfriend...and 40 is less than 5 years away. I am completely freaking out!

You're still looking good

I wouldn't freak out. But, I know exactly what you're feeling. The only difference is I just turned 34 and am single for the first time in 10 years. noway laugh

I am, serving a life sentence in the Evergreen state, currently on the Olympic Peninsula, was in Spokane from 1999 through 2003, but been in Port Townsend since then.

I liked Port Townsend when I was in Washington (I lived in Federal Way, Everett, and Monroe from 2000-2005). I'd rather be in Port Townsend than Spokane.

Unfortunately, due to the cost of living there, I moved back to the Midwest, but I miss Washington a lot.

Kansas may not be the most "happening" place in the U.S.

That's an understatement. laugh

But, you are right, it is a good place to raise kids, as long as you are in the right areas. Especially here in Topeka, the schools and school districts are pretty varied in regards to their effectiveness.

I haven't spent a lot of time in Salina, but I have been there once or twice. It seemed nice. I know there was a restaurant there that one of co-workers said I needed to go to...but right now, I can't think of it. I'll have to ask him what it was.

And StarTrekkin, if you think it's cold here...I'm originally from Minnesota, so this is a heat wave. laugh
