At 16 I got my first tattoo-it was mine and made me different it to this day had a strong emotion meaning- 1988 stationed in West Germany got pierced-several years 5 more tats and a few more "holes" I wasn't born with later at 47 I have 6 tats and 3 surviving pericings- Good bad or indifferent it's me, a recorded part of my journy in this life. Your body your choices, tats are forever they can be changed or covered up but it's still there. Before doing it give it 6 months if you still need to record that part of the journey of life then do it. Art is art it can be found on cave walls, on canvas, carved from stone or on the canvas of flesh not everyone will approve but todays youth does not ask nor care for the approval of socitiy.
