Ok lets get to it:
I cannot absolutely speak for all women, but I can speak for those I know and love.
Respect: Disrespect me, and you're gone with the trash.
Honesty: You can be as vile as you want; if I know you're being honest, I'll respect it. Might not like it, might tell you take a hike. but honesty, I'll always respect.
Passion: yes passion about the things in life that you love, but even more so, passion about the one you love. Passion that shows up in lovemaking.
Trust: can't blame you about being weary of being gullible, but with some of us women, if we can't trust you, then why should we bother. That's a matter between two people, to figure out who's trustworthy and who's not. you say you are, I take you at your word. but you say you don't want to be gullible, then I know you'll protect yourself at any cost, which I can't reject, but helps me know you might not be honest all the time.
tenderness: kindness is a turnon, for some of us. it is for me. and actually , your truthfulness about having weaknesses is also attractive. but it you can't be tender and mean it, why should I bother.

Frank.... You nailed it. We women are hard to deal with. I gotta say though, our hormones are a bit more difficult to deal with, but really you are so right. We want the love, respect, dignity, admiration, all the things that are 'right' when it comes to couplehood..... yet we are so fast to use our hormones and roller coaster attitudes as excuses for being very difficult to be with/around.

Understanding each other (as men and women) is a tough thing. But we can do it. There are people out there who are soooo happy, and it's because they are able to understand each other's good qualities and bad qualities. we all have them. And it's sad, but it takes losing someone to realize that what they had, the good and the bad, was what you really wanted.

so first, I applaud you for recognizing these things after losing your wonderful lover...... and second, I thank you for telling it as you see it, which is.. frankly, right on.

As a woman, I want just what you said.... a best friend, respect , honesty, PASSION, trust, and tenderness. and I'm trying to be patient in finding it.

But I wanted to thank you for putting that out there. You give me hope, inspiration, and the ability to be patient, and I just want to say THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart.

one keeps calling my cell phone and saying nothing, and the other showed up in a marriot downtown last night and today is being an ass.

NONONO.... I met someone last night that I really really like. His name is James. but the other James, the one Thump knows about, and a different one who actually did come to town to stalk me..... well I made a mistake and earlier commented that I was frustrated with men named James, but I wasn't actually talking about him, I was talking about the two stalker James's. its a long ass story.....

so this is a post for a particular person who I just noticed is online and probably watching my posts.

FYI there are two other James's that have been harrassing me, and one just showed up yesterday and started making demands of me. He is still today, making demands of me. so if you took an earlier comment of mine personally, I appologize, but you are not one of the James's I was referring to.
