What do you mean you can't get into run? If you can, try running ipconfig /all at the command prompt. What do you get for output?

DSL you say?

Alright then, what kind of network are you looking to connect to? Are you hooking directly into the modem or is there a router in between?

You're talking about a dial-up modem right?

Make sure that the drivers are installed for it. If you don't know what drivers you need, you can use a program like unknown device identifier. It should tell you what drivers you need.

How is the usability of Gnome 3? I'm not really much of a fan of Fedora, but I'm willing to make an exception if the experience is worth it. Right now I use Linux Mint 11 as my secondary OS and I'm quite content with it on count of its speed. I've seen the videos on their site that explain some of the features of Gnome 3 which I find pretty impressive. If anything, I think that it would be pretty cool to be able to use Gnome 3 on my existing Mint install.

I just signed up today because I feel that this will be an interesting experience. Even if I don't find a relationship from here I hope that I may make some new friends.

I'm a pretty down to earth kind of guy who currently lives in Bloomington, IL. I will also be turning 21 at the end of this month.
