You still have not heard from him by email? You should have arrived home to a message explaining the problem. Be very, very careful. While I have met some very, very nice men in person by online dating (abeit not for me) I have been contacted by 2 bogus people who tried to play me. The online scam seems to be that they are young and widowed. I ask for full name and cell phone number before a meeting and I directly explain that I will google them. I would not consider an in person meet without at least trying to locate some personal information. I explain to them that I am a girl and this is the internet and that I try not to go out with known felons, lol. Those scammers usually run for the hills and nice guys have nothing to hide and understand. Nice guys are forthcoming and self employed professional ones often have their own website and are proud of it. Good luck. I think you lucked out before you got into trouble.
