That's indescribable stupidIty. Those people don't need kids.

i said the same thing pretty much
are they going to continue to have Abortions for them not having the right gender they had been seeking

why dont they freaken adopt... but then that wouldnt be a good thing either for who knows they can be racist

Actually the couple are now in the midst of legal action to pre-determine the sex of their next IVF baby.

getting set up out at a lake ,nice fire going, cook some food over the fire,a good clear nite, not much moon, shoes off and toes in the sand, relaxing getting to know each other over conversation,
and then hearing the drag start screaming on a fishing reel,
reeling in a nice big flathead catfish. ya I know ,not many women would find that romantic lol oh well lol

lol it was the catfish that did it........u had me hook line n sinker till u reeled that up.........now if it was a barramundi winking
lol well I try lol we dont have any barramundi swimming around here.

lol true........well any other fish would have been better than a catfish lol

Ok there is a lot of controvery seeing hunting as a sport n im sure its one that most ppl are passionate about it. We all have views n opinions differing to others and thats what makes us individuals.

The definition of sport an organized, competitive, entertaining, and skillful activity requiring commitment, strategy, and fair play, in which a winner can be defined by objective means. But alot of the sports we do see can reasonably not be considered a sport. Take for example card games and board games. Do u consider them to be a sport?. Well there are a sport because they are classified as "mind sports" and some are recognized as Olympic sports, requiring primarily mental skills and mental physical involvement. They have a set of rules which are used to determine how the game is played. Hunting is a sport now because one must employ strategy, have a certain level of fitness, have a proficiency and training in various kinds of weaponry and be able to strike down ones opponent when the opportunity presents itself. And many other sports contain these same dimensions the only difference is the opponent is an animal with hunting as opposed to another human for example as in boxing n karate. Do u consider men beating the crap out of each other in a boxing ring as a sport?

Some sports are cruel and barbaric, some contain no skill at all, some are players playing off against each other, some are even based on the technical skill such as diving to determine a winner Some are more individual to urself. Although it may be incredibly hard to see it as a sport it is classified as one none the less. I guess this is where we all need to be individual to decide what we consider a sport is n what is not but even more so then that respect other ppls choices and beliefs even if we feel differently about them.

many cultures that place boys above girls have such practices, in the case of the poverty stricken the parents generally just leave the new-born girl-child out to die..is that any better???

this case was an unusual role reversal.

No i dont think it is any better, i think it all is revolting. I guess i was looking more to the point that couples use IVF because of any number of medical conditions that makes it difficult for them to do so naturally. But even more so the whole idea of replacing a lost child. Is that even possible?

Everybody is different! What is taboo or disgusting to you is normal fro others, we are just animals ya know.

Very true, I guess thats what makes us all individuals. But for me personally i find it hard to fathom n thats who i am.

Heard on the news last night about a couple that were blessed with Twin boys through the IVF program. When hearing they were having boys, they "chose" to abort.......why ? Because they wanted a girl......a girl because they wanted to "replace" the little girl whose life was lost recently.

Can anyone justify that for me, or am I from a diffrent fricken planetwhat what what

Are they talking about the one here in Tucson?

No it was in Melbourne

Will Always be Alice Cooper hands down especially for the album Welcome to my Nightmare. His songs were the journey of a boy named Steven which has been said to reflect Alice Coopers own life at the time. He tells a story n he tells it beautifully.

When i was a kid there was no such word as bored. N if i ever said that i was bored i was made to go out into the paddock to pick up rocks for hours on end. Another one was cleaning the house even if it was clean already lol So i learnt quick to not say i was bored, lack of entertainment though ;)

I think your parents knew my parents. laugh

    I have never forgotten it lmao, N i even catch myself from time to time when my son says he is bored the old "in my day" speech lol

Think the death toll stands at 30 now with a large number of ppl missing and alot of ppl more than likely will not be found Boredinaz06. There are alot of hero stories too like Jordan Price who wanted them to save his brother n mother first before him n then when rescuers went back to get him he was gone.

I heard about that, what a way to go, at least he will be remembered and in a heroic way. Was this all unexpected?

Id like to say yes n no. Toowoomba had no warning at all, there videos online where it took a matter of minutes before being engulfed in a large quantity of water. Brisbane and Ipswich and surrounding areas knew well in advance that it was coming. Its a bit like where i live now, i am surrounded by mountains and live at the base....we can have flash flooding within 10minutes with a downpour at any given time.

Long term politicians are absolutely worthless, don't know how long this Tony Abott has been in office but it seems the longer they're in the more comfortable they get. I hope everything works out. The footage I've seen is ridiculous, the amount of water coming through is immense.

I dont know how it is gonna turn out hun, a cyclone has just formed off the coast n is headed towards that way again, i really hope that it just blows over before getting anywhere near there. Last thing we need. Its like our weather has gone crazy, fires near perth, cyclone in wa, cyclone in qld, severe flooding in qld thats continuing down the coast n is hitting nsw now as we speak, severe heat waves in sa. Its like the weather is a chick n woke up with bad pms.

Tony Abbot has been there ages, he wants to be PM but he is an idiot and we all know it. N Julia Gillard who looks like Lois off Family Guy is just as bad, she script reads her speeches so when she talks about the devastation its very monotone and uncaring.

Sorry Rambling.

Where is all the water coming from? we have our monsoon moisture com up from the gulf of Mexico and always thought it would be cool if a Great White was picked up out at sea then dropped in a lake here. Of course we would have to save it and get it to Sea World or some place to be released later but it would be cool to see one up close.

Its monsoon season here firstly and there were massive floods right across the state of Qld. These floods affected a much wider area, hitting cities such as Rockhampton and Emerald particularly hard, and causing mass evacuations across the state. A cyclone system which crossed the coast south of Cairns brought flooding to that city at Christmas. A combination of the low from the cyclone system and the flooding at Rockhampton brought an inland tsunami that hit Toowoomba, at the top of the Great Dividing Range, sending a mass of water down the range to swamp the towns at the base. Helidon and Grantham were particularly hard hit. The water then made its way into Wivenhoe Dam, meaning a lot of water had to be released into the brisbane River. This in turn swamped Ipswich and Brisbane, leading to devastating floods in both those cities. Now the water is continuing to flow downwards into Nsw hitting towns rather hard as well. There is footage of the water travelling down and its incredible to see but also very devastating.

Brisbane atm have sharks swimming around in the centre of town too.

same thing over here...whenever tragedy strikes, politicians come out of the woodwork like cockroaches...

Its truly pathetic, I went through Cyclone Larry in 06 and although we had no loss of life we lost everything and so did so many other people and yet our politicians at the time were right in the heart of it helping. It was fantastic.

yea, then president Bush flew over flooded New Orleans about a week after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the city, just to make an appearance ... it was pathetic... I still don't think they know how many people died there... that was in 05 or so...

Yes i remember seeing footage of that too, it was truly shocking - If only they realise that people are more likely to vote them if they are in there helping them, they spend so much talking about how they are there to help the people and yet they dont. They blow Tax Payers money tripping all over the world and Holidays, If i were a politician I would rather be a humble one then being an greedy tosser with no empathy for human loss.

I'm sure most of you have heard about the Great Inland Tsunami of Australia that thank fully I am a wee bit up from there and just suffered the usual localized flooding. But a lot of my friends and family have been affected by this devastating event. Just watching the footage of the car being swept down the Toowoomba main street and knowing my cousin was there 10 mins prior is enough to rattle the nerves.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt-FT-skins

Then Tony Abbott (a politician) shows up with a film crew in his crisp blue and white checkered shirt, picked up bag of rubbish for a photo op/interview and then buggered off again. Truly disgusting - if you're not part of the solution Tony, you're part of the problem - either help or go home! This is a natural disaster not an "election run" to try and win voters.

Just really pisses me off!!!
